Reflexion 1
I have chosen the song by “Maintain Consciousness” by Relient K lyrics as my first
piece. The lyrics of this song depict the experience of living with ADHD. It resonated
with me deeply, as I found solace in knowing that someone else understands the
challenges
My second piece, is an You tube video entitled “ADHD teen experience” This video
provides a concise overview of the symptoms associated with ADHD and showcases how
a child with this condition may react in various situations. Watching this video give me a
better understanding of my own disability and how I can relate to it.
My third piece, is a movie that entitle "The Disrupters." This film delves into the lives
of children with ADHD and also highlights the journeys of famous individuals who have
achieved success despite having this disorder. My confidence improves after learning
there is numerous individuals in the world who have thrived with ADHD.

Reflection Two
In my first piece, entitled Maintain Consciousness. The figurative language of this song
appears to be onomatopoeia. “Our conversation changes from words to blah blah blah
blah blah”. People who have ADHD they tend to struggle to focus on conversations
frequently distract themselves.
My last piece entitled “The Disruptors”. The documentary appears to use figurative
language. “The gift is that you can see something that others cannot see”. This quote
means that you have an ability to understand or perceive what the average person
cannot.

Reflection 3
Throughout this SBA, I have gained better understanding on ADHD. This has
encouraged me to do more and made me feel confident in my ability. During my
research I saw how many people become successful with ADHD and that made
me realize I have the ability to do anything that I put my mind to. This SBA has
help me to expand on my thinking skills, my vocabulary, comprehension and
learning to speak more fluently in public. Furthermore, I have been able to have
proper time management and also there were great changes in my thoughts
about myself. In doing this SBA, it helps me improved on my communication
levels which lead me to having a proper bond with my classmates and my
teachers.

Group Report
The topic that was chosen by the class was on disabilities and how can people
with disabilities live their lives. Obtaining the information was challenging
than expected. The pieces that were chosen are a poem on Autism, a video on
ADHD and poster of different reading strategies.
The poem describes the unique way in which autistic people think in comparison
to an average person. The poem also provides entertainment while providing
information on autism.
The video entitled ‘The Brain on ADHD’ is about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder also known as ADHD. This is a neurological condition where persons are
easily distracted and impulsive. ADHD disrupts a part of the brain that deals
with impulse control and the ability to concentrate. Persons with this disability
will experience difficulties to focus on anything such as completing assignments.
The poster entails six methods that are used for helping students improve their
reading and understanding skills. Each method can also assist students with
their critical thinking skills. For example, the strategy ‘Questioning’, students
can ask meaningful questions before, during and after they read. With the help
of these reading strategies over time students do well academically.
