Students are encouraged to fail as a part of the process and then improve their performance in subsequent activities.
B. Strategy Classroom Technology. This strategy can be used at any level or year of education because students get excited when they must experience
something new for the first time. Video lessons, virtual trips in geography or history class, animations to help kids learn basic skills, and many
more adapt to this teaching strategy. Moreover, smart whiteboards, projectors should be used in classrooms.
C. Method Interactive or Participative Method. The teacher’s responsibility is to explain the key points or the importance of following the interactive or
participating method during class in general so that students may not resist following it.

Introduction
Activating Prior Knowledge (5 minutes) Modifier is a word, phrase or clause that adds information about
another word or phrase.

Two types of Modifiers:

1. Adjective
2. Adverb

Examples:

1. John went to buy a vegetarian burger.

2. The man with black beard was giving a speech.

It is important that the modifier is linked to what it is intended to

modify.

Now, if a word or group of words do not link clearly to what it is

intended to modify making the meaning of a sentence ambiguous or
wrong is called a misplaced modifier. It could confuse the reader.

Misplaced Modifier
1. I saw a dead skunk driving on the highway.
a. While driving on the highway, I saw a dead skunk.
b. I am driving on the highway when I saw a dead
skunk.
Motivation
(5 minutes) Let the students imagine a teacher without his/her students and a
doctor missing his/her patient. They will be left “hanging” in the class
or their purpose will be meaningless.
Presentation “Great observation. The same thing happens if a sentence is missing a
(1 minute) subject--the reader will be left hanging or the thought of the sentence
itself will be left dangling.”
4.Discussion Dangling Modifier
(15 minutes) - A modifier is dangling if a sentence
doesn’t have the word or words the
modifier intends to modify.
- When a modifier dangles, it changes the
intended meaning and creates confusion

- After writing a book, a movie is going to

be made.
