I am working and studying at the Alfa College as an assistant teacher- and multicultural coach. I
support and guide students of different nationalities and backgrounds during their study year-s and
their internship period especially students with a non-Western background. In addition to assisting
teachers in planning, supervising, and teaching the curriculum in the classroom; Helps introduce and
reinforce learning concepts.
My background:
I am originally from Egypt, and I am graduated from the Faculty of Languages in Cairo and I have a BA
diploma in Semitic languages as a major and English as a second language. I also lived and worked in
the UAE for a long time before I came to the Netherlands in 2017.
I am a mother of 3 children, 2 girls and a boy, the eldest is 15 years old, she is in the second grade of
high school, the middle one is 13, she is in the first grade of high school, the youngest is 8 years old,
he is in the fourth grade in elementary school.
Interests:
I have a wide variety of interests and hobbies, I love reading and writing. I can cook delicious dishes
from different countries, I like to walk a lot , and I swim sometimes in the indoor private swimming
pools. I love traveling and learning about different cultures and meeting people of different
backgrounds. I also have an interest in gardening and planting; It is a new hobby that I learned in the
Netherlands.
My plan is to continue studying in order to become a teacher in the future, but I am not sure what
age group I would like to work with after completing my studies. I am still hesitating and confused
between working in elementary schools with children or in high school with teenagers and adults.
The place where you live:
I live in the Netherlands in a village, in the middle of some great countryside; It is a pleasant
residential area with a relaxed atmosphere. It is also surrounded by good shopping stores.
My first job was as a receptionist at a plastic surgery hospital. My job was to receive patients,
welcome them, and direct them where they were supposed to go. I've gained a lot of useful skills
from this job, because I've actually learned to do all sorts of things you'd need for almost any job,
really practical stuff, for example, how to deal with customers, how to answer the phone correctly. It
was also the first time I had my own money, It was not enough to live on but it was a start.
