Essay Rough Draft

Writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Rough Draft" poses a unique challenge, as it requires a
delicate balance between self-reflection and critical analysis of the writing process. The task involves
not only discussing the intricacies of drafting an essay but also navigating the subjective journey of
one's own writing experience.

Firstly, delving into the realm of personal writing can be a daunting task. Expressing thoughts and
experiences about the rough draft process demands a certain level of introspection. It's not just about
recounting the steps taken but also examining the emotional and intellectual roller coaster that often
accompanies the journey from a mere idea to a tangible draft.

Moreover, the challenge lies in transforming a subjective process into an objective piece of writing.
One must find a way to make the essay relatable to a wider audience while maintaining the personal
touch that defines a reflective piece. Striking this balance requires a keen understanding of the
audience's expectations and an ability to articulate the nuances of the writing process in a universally
meaningful way.

Additionally, discussing the rough draft process inherently involves revisiting mistakes and
struggles. Admitting to imperfections can be a humbling experience, and weaving them into the
narrative without sounding self-indulgent or self-pitying is a delicate art. It's not merely about
showcasing growth but also acknowledging the hurdles overcome in the drafting phase.

Lastly, there's the challenge of ensuring that the essay doesn't become too insular. While the topic is
inherently personal, it's crucial to draw connections to broader themes or share insights that could
resonate with a diverse audience. This requires a careful selection of details and experiences to create
a narrative that is both specific and universally relatable.

In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Essay Rough Draft" is a demanding task that
involves navigating the fine line between personal reflection and broader relevance. It requires the
writer to delve into their own writing process, confront challenges, and articulate these experiences in
a way that resonates with a diverse audience. It's a task that necessitates both self-awareness and the
ability to communicate the intricacies of the writing journey effectively.

A Literary Analysis of How to Tell a True War Story
A Literary Analysis of How to Tell a True War Story The short story that will be
discussed, evaluated, and analyzed in this paper is a very emotionally and morally
challenging short story to read. Michael Meyer, author of the college text The Compact
Bedford Introduction to Literature, states that the author of How to Tell a True War
Story, Tim O Brien, was drafted into the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart (472).
His experiences from the Vietnam War have stayed with him, and he writes about them in
this short story. The purpose of this literary analysis is to critically analyze this short
story by explaining O Brien s writing techniques, by discussing his intended message and
how it is displayed, by providing my own reaction,... Show more content on

According to SparkNotes, O Brien s message is that the technical facts surrounding
any individual event are less important than the overarching, subjective truth of what
the war meant to soldiers and how it changed them (1). Lastly, O Brien uses his
message to help explain why he wishes to tell his war stories even though they may not
be completely factual or perceived the way he wants them to be perceived.
SparkNotes states that O Brien is attempting not to write a history of the Vietnam War
through his stories but rather to explore the ways that speaking about war experience
establishes or fails to establish bonds between a soldier and his audience (1). O Brien
s message urges his readers to be more aware of what a soldier is actually trying to tell,
and that a bond between soldiers and audiences can be created if audiences truly listen
and face up to what they are really hearing. My reaction to this short story was one of
sadness and fear. My husband is a soldier in the U.S. Army, and this short story
resonates very personally with me. I hear war stories all time; from my husband, from
his friends, and from the other Army wives. O Brien s stories and experiences remind
me of all the other sad and horrific stories that I have heard. But what is even sadder is
that those not
Charles Perrault Research Paper
Charles Perrault was born into a middle class family in France in 1628. Charles also
received a law degree in 1651. Cinderella was one of the first stories that was written for
children. Before that children would just read adult literature. Cinderella or the little
glass slipper by Charles Perrault is a folk tale embodying a myth element of unjust
oppression/triumphant reward. It is thought that Perrault mistakenly wrote that
Cendrillon s slipper was made from glass (Charles perrault, 2006). The French words
glass (verre) and fur (vair) are very similar so it is thought that a mistranslation led to the
inclusion of the famous glass slippers (Cinderella; or, The Little Glass Slipper, 2003.).
Perrault includes a verse about the moral of the tale after the conclusion of... Show more

the wedding In Perrault version but in other versions they went in depth with the
forgiveness of the stepsisters. In the Disney version of Cinderella 4 mice is
transformed into horses. In Perrault version 6 mice is transformed into horses. A rat is
transformed into a coachman in the Perrault version, whilst a dog is transformed to a
coachman in the Disney version. A myth is a story based on tradition or legend, which
has a deep symbolic meaning. A folktale is a popular story that was passed on in
spoken form, from one generation to the next. Mythology makes people interested and
fascinated with history and literature. Mythology express diversity. Diversity is crucial
for people to become more aware of other cultures. Myology also helps express the
differences and similarities of cultures. It also helps with children s imagination. It helps
them develop more and also open their minds up to other things in the
Hijab In North America
With the recent interest of the media on the topic of hijab and the oppressive symbol
that it is portrayed to be, I have decided to write my paper on the hijab and what it means
to various Muslim women. This topic is important and worth studying because most of
the information that is relayed about the hijabby the media is not based on the opinion of
Muslim women who actually wear the hijab in North America. Currently, feminists
around the world have started a campaign for a #nohijabday. Although this movement
initially began in order to speak out against the Iranian government for forcing Iranian
women to don the hijab, it quickly spiraled out of control on social media sites such as
Twitter and Facebook. This event has led to an influx... Show more content on

According to Blakeman, the women often find their family members limitationss
imposed on them to be lesser to a great extent once they adopt veiling since they are let
alone carry out their duties freely and independently such as moving around in public
without being criticized by other people (36). The act of wearing a hijab by women as
well provides the best exposure for Muslim women to associate and carry out tasks
with their male work colleagues devoid of talked about regarding their behavior
(Omair 424). The hijab, therefore, defines a moral boundary around the Muslim
women as it lays down the tone of interaction with other people as well as giving a
clear indication of how the women wish to be treated, especially by men colleagues. The
hijab, as described earlier, commands respect for the Muslim women as it exerts a moral
demand upon others with the expectation that they will be valued and treated in a
manner acceptable to the
Time And Timeless Time
What Kenner fails to understand is Eliot is not having any superficial knowledge or
understanding of time and Timeless Time. He has a realisation that is more than just a
glimpse. The moments of intersection of Timeless Time and time have great significance
in Eliot s poetry because the consciousness of such moments comes when an individual is
spiritually enlightened. He can witness the source from which all time emerges and that
source in itself is Eternal. The still point, the Timelessness, the Divine, the Eteranl is the
source. There is no other way with which an individual can escape time and the suffering
related to it. It is only Timeless Time that can liberate an individual from time. Eternity is
time s ultimate limit which in itself... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though he continued writing Poetic Dramas for many more years, but Four Quartets
mark the end of his regular poetry. He finished the Quartets on the peak of his spiritual
realisation which he tried to set as an example to be followed by the posterity. The last
section of the Four Quartets is considered as the greatest spiritual vision of Eliot. The
very opening words Midwinter spring does not signify any paradox that Eliot would
relish but is symbolic of spiritual renewal and revitalisation in midst of a spiritual
barrenness caused by the World Wars. He felt the pressure of the social and political
events that were taking their toll on the psyche of the common man. Like everyone
else in this period, his life became one of monotony and anxiety, caught in the middle
period when pre war life seemed unreal and post war life unimaginable. (Ackroyd 1984:
264) The interplay of the dualities is shown, but there is more of harmony in it than any
kind of opposition. There is an impossible union; the contraries like frost and fire are
brought together to be resolved. Metaphorically, their fusion signifies the advent of an
eternal spring where the contraries, even the extreme ones have no
Ideal Society In The Giver
The question of whether a perfect society is possible or even desirable suggests that
our societies aren t perfect as they are. In other words our societies are flawed and
therefore imperfect and undesirable. In my opinion a society without flaws is neither
possible nor desirable. Persuasive evidence to support my viewpoint is abundant in
examples from literature, history and current events. Consider the case of The Giver. In
The Giver Jonas seemingly lives in the perfect society. A community of conformity and
contentment where everything is uniform. After becoming the keeper of the
community s memories he learns of the dark underbelly of his community and acts on
the idea of change in his perfect society. A society where all those imperfect are
released, or in other words killed. When a child his family had taken in is subject for
releasing, he acts on the idea of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Puritans were a group of separatists who came to the new world in the early 1600s
in order to separate themselves from the Church of England which they believed to be
corrupt. They wanted to be a city upon a hill or in other words, an example of a perfect
colony, an example for the Church of England to look up to. Although they wanted to
be a city upon a hill and wanted to be this perfect society, an example to all, they were
nothing close to a desirable or perfect society. People like Anne Hutchinson were
kicked out of the Puritan colony for preaching other religious teachings and many
immigrants avoided the New England colonies, where the Puritan colony was and went
down to the middle colonies for the religious tolerance the Puritans didn t give.
Furthermore the Puritans prove my point, if their society truly was desirable and
perfect immigrants and settlers wouldn t avoid their colonies. They wouldn t have to
kick out people who did not conform as if it was perfect, there wouldn t be a reason for
Theoretical Perspectives On Crime
The first theoretical perspectives on crime to be recognized originated around 1764
according to Siegel (2010), with the classical perspective. Founded by Cesare Beccaria
and Jeremy Bentham, the perspective holds that society can deter crime when the
consequences of crime are absolute, harsh, and quickly administered. They felt that
people choose to commit crime after they considered the positive and negative aspects of
the crime, and found that the positives outweigh the consequences. Modern classical
theoryis called choice theory. This perspective was the major influence on our penal
system for the next two hundred years, until late into the 19th century, giving way to
positivism and the scientific methodof studying human behavior and society. It is from
this positivism noted by August Comte, considered the founder of sociology, it is in this
last stage that our current classifications of theoretical perspectives on crime have
emerged. These theories, grouped into four categories, which are; sociological theories,
biological theories, psychological theories, and social psychological theories, represent
different causes of crime. (Siegel, 2010)The first theoretical perspectives on crime to be

Case Analysis for Disney s Yen Financing
Part I. The fundamental information of Walt Disney
The Walt Disney Company, a diversified international company operated entertainment
and recreational complexes, produced motion picture and television features, developed
community real estate projects, and sold consumer products. The company was founded
in 1938 as a successor to the animated motion picture business established by Walt and
Roy Disney in 1923.
The company operated the Disneyland amusement theme park in Anaheim, California,
and the Walt Disney World destination resort in Orlando, Florida. In addition to the
domestic entertainment and recreation revenues from Disneyland and Walt Disney

Thirdly, future is an obligation, which could induce some potential risks given Disney s
inaccurate forecast. 2. Long dated forwards
Advantage: Forward is more customer tailed and its maturity can be long enough to
satisfy Disney.
Disadvantage: FX forwards will be considered by banks as a part of their total exposure
to Disney, so the valuable credit line will be tied up. And it provides no cash flow to
cover short term debt. What s more, it is also an obligation as futures. 3. FX options:
Advantage: FX options have an open market with easy access. The most important thing
is that option is a right, rather than an obligation, which can keep Disney from the
potential risks that will be induced by future or forward.
Disadvantage: Disney has to pay a premium to obtain the right. The costs could be
significant. 4. Convert existing dollar debt into yen liability:
Advantage: It is a comparably cheap method to hedge.
Disadvantage: The hedge would be short term since Disney s Eurodollar issue matured
in one to four years. The arrangement neither provides any additional cash nor reduces its
short term debt. 5. Issue a long maturity Eurodollar debt which can be swapped into yen
Advantage: The costs are probably low.
Disadvantage: Disney has recently issued Eurodollar note and has temporarily high debt
ratio, which make it difficult to employ this approach. 6. Issue Euroyen bond
Advantage: It will incur low transaction cost, only front end
