PLATE TITLE:

A PROPOSED SHOPPING MALL COMPLEX (C-2 ZONE)

Statement of the Problem:


A rising corporation commissioned you to plan and design a new branch for their Shopping
Mall Complex located in Subic, Olongapo City (near the Subic international Airport). The
project is situated in a Commercial (C-2) zone.

They are planning to rebrand their services and you are tasked to develop a new concept for
their shopping Mall that will be more inviting & marketable to their customers in this modern
age. It is to be built in an approximately ninety-seven hectares (97).

Design Objectives:
a. To plan/design the project on a C-2 zoned property.
b. To design and maximize space in accordance with the client’s needs.
c. To plan/design the project in compliance with the minimum & maximum requirements
set by relevant codes & laws (e.g. PD 1096, BP 344, RA 9514, etc).

Project Site Features:


The property is an irregular lot fronting a 20-meter RROW on its south eastern side. Located
on its west side is the Subic international airport. The subic bay on its north west and a camp
site on its east side The lot is relatively flat.

The existing building on the site is set for demolition to give way for the new project
development as advised by the client’s consultants.

The project has no limitation except for the building code provision about strictures near
International Airports
