Writing coursework, particularly a GCSE Statistics Coursework Introduction, can be a challenging

task for many students. It requires a combination of research, analytical skills, and the ability to
present information in a clear and coherent manner. Here are some reasons why students may find it
difficult:

1. Complexity of the Subject: Statistics itself can be a complex subject, and creating
coursework on it demands a solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
2. Research Skills: Gathering relevant data and conducting thorough research is a crucial aspect
of coursework. Students may find it challenging to locate suitable sources or to extract the
necessary information from them.
3. Analytical Thinking: Interpreting data and drawing meaningful conclusions require strong
analytical skills. Many students may struggle with this aspect, particularly if they are not
comfortable with mathematical or statistical analysis.
4. Time Management: Coursework often comes with tight deadlines. Balancing coursework
with other academic and personal responsibilities can be a significant challenge for students.
5. Effective Communication: Expressing ideas clearly and concisely is crucial in coursework.
Some students may find it difficult to articulate their thoughts and findings in a coherent and
organized manner.

If students find themselves overwhelmed by these challenges, seeking assistance can be a reasonable
option. One recommended platform is ⇒ HelpWriting.net ⇔, where professional writers can
provide support in crafting well-researched and well-written coursework. This can help students save
time, reduce stress, and ensure that their coursework meets the required academic standards.

However, it's important for students to use such services responsibly and ethically. Seeking help
should be viewed as a supplement to their own efforts rather than a substitute for learning. It's
essential to review and understand the completed coursework to gain knowledge and insights that
will be beneficial in future academic endeavors.
It was decided not to keep these as it would give 4 anomalies so I removed them from the list. This
is because the more able pupils have improved more than less able pupils and they have all improved
around the same amount. Write a review Update existing review Submit review Cancel It's good to
leave some feedback. The daily mail box and whisker plot is neutrally skewed, while the daily mirror
box and whisker plot is negatively skewed, implying that most the values are at a higher range.
Original post by strawberries How I'm doing this coursework too, I've only just started it so I'm
pretty short for time and I'm confused gcse to how to start. For the reasons stated at the beginning of
my project I think that these results will relate both to the study population and the target population.
If the ability of the Yr7’s is similar to that of the Yr11’s the results should be in roughly the same
place. On excel I would eliminate the outlier if I need to get a better line of best fit. This implies that
the stories are more detailed than in the Daily Mirror. I am not too happy with this graph due to the
trendline appears to have been drawn wrong by the outliers. I used stratified sampling because it
would be representative of all the types of articles. I will now use the Ford data to compare price to
age. I will be using the SAT’s levels as the main source for my investigation. They don’t appear to
change their favourite TV programme choice however; they do appear to diversify slightly with
maturity. But, if there ever was a possibility for further investigation, it would be to further
investigate the Daily Mail, by possibly taking more pages into the sample, in order to account for the
more pages the newspaper had. I will also calculate Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, which
will allow me to discover effortlessly the potency of correlation within a data set of two variables,
and whether this correlation is positive or negative. Conclusion: In answer to my aim, I think the
student's favourite choices have not differed much nonetheless; the students have become more
diverse suggesting a more mature outlook. Post a reading report on this discussion board forum
answering the following questions: 1. This gives me a total of 90 results which will be used in
questions 3 and 4 as well as this one. At the edexcel gcse statistics coursework mark scheme end of a
group how good you are using for your own title 2. This therefore shows that the school does set
correctly. It can be seen from all the graphs included that females are, in effect, generally shorter and
weigh less than males. This gives me a total of 90 results which will be used in questions 3 and 4 as
well as this one. It is plain to see that they are trying to capture all possible audiences by offering a
generous mix of everything, with a style that most people would be able to comprehend fully. I
would compare the mean, median and mode to support my hypothesis. Null hypothesis: Practice
improves the estimate of a non-straight line. A very important piece of data retrieved from the graph
was that the mean syllables per word for the Daily Star was; 1.395. However from the normal
distribution diagram it is evident that the Daily Mirror generally uses longer words. I would provide
me working on computer to avoid biased results and also to get more accurate results. Some of the
boys in our school would not take the questionnaire seriously and most of Girls would not either.
Then I copied the first column containing the Males statistics and using the autograph program I
pasted it into the grouped data menu. I think that the data shows no reason for this and it may just
be that the Year 11’s are small for their age and the Year 10’s tall. For simple random sampling, I
could have given every record an assigned number, and then used a random number generator to
select them, ignoring any repeated numbers. I decided against it because I thought that it would be
hard to obtain the data. I am going to use the results for the estimation of a straight line not a non-
straight line. This would be another factor of why boys catch up by the time they are in year 9. To
add, the Y intercept for the Daily Mirror was 20.67875cm? which mean the minimum for the area of
text is 20.67875cm? if someone was to interpolate a value of zero for the header area, however this
would mean there would be no story so the Y intercept is unrealistic. This shows that the less able
you are the less you will improve. Never learn this project easily website has required a critical
geography. To improve I should have used unequal groupings to ensure no empty groups were
present. Are Essay Writing Services Worth It We asked year 7,9 and 11's in our school. All pupils
will have used a ruler before so they will know the approximate length of 30cm and 15cm lines. I,
therefore, predict that my results will produce a pattern which shows that boys weigh more than
girls. Spearman’s rank is helpful as we can use it when the data is not jointly normally distributed and
rank order correlation provides a very quick and easy to use method of modelling correlation
between probability distributions. However at first I chose to do 10% but when I saw that it was too
large I halved it. The data I am using is the same as in question 2 and 4. These entries were
numbered and then using a calculator and the random button the sample names were collected. e.g
Set 1: RND ? 26 gave 13.346. This converts to 14th name using the rounding up method. My new
sample This sample is the corrected sample with all problems removed. All data related to this scatter
graph can be found in the results box. The median is about 20 and 50% of the results are between -
40 and 30. I assumed that in years 7-9 girls will generally be taller than boys- due to the fact girls
tend to grow faster than boys during the early stages of development. It will also ensure better
coverage of the population than simple random sampling, although it will be more complex to
organise and analyse results. The data I am using is the same as in question 2 and 4. I am not too
happy with this graph due to the trendline appears to have been drawn wrong by the outliers. Null
hypothesis: Practice improves the estimate of a non-straight line. Also I can use specific makes of
cars to compare how quickly the car price decreases. Perhaps this is because my sample size was
simply not large enough or there is in fact no correlation between height and weight. The way in
which I will do this, is to sample 11 pages of the newspaper, by counting the number of pages, then
dividing that number by 10, if a decimal, this number will be rounded down. This would be the case
for most of the students, I am sure that would be the case for me. I have Predicted this because the
girls who come with high results from Junior School to High School do make an improvement but
not better than the Boys in Our School.
Although neither graph has a strong correlation, the relationship between weight and height for males
is notably stronger than that of the females’ and shows a weak positive correlation. To get a random
set of numbers I am going to go to this is a web site which is made to get a set of numbers. I was
correct. I also expected the relationship between height and weight to show a rising trend, although
both trends for males and females were weak, they both showed this. I have not plotted a line of best
fit, as there is no correlation. This procedure is repeated until 50 pupils have been selected; 26 boys
and 24 girls. I have found out this information by reading of my graph, so the car will loose most of
its value in the first year and then it will depreciate on a steady rate. I have been given instructions to
collect data for my GCSE statistics cours. The Daily Mirror in turn also focuses more on celebrity
gossip, entertainment, and crime. The distribution for the weight of males is, therefore, more U-
shaped. This grouping enabled me to produce the following table. I think doing my investigation on
computer would give a better pictorial view than by hand. A-level had similar aims to help ventura
module 2: statistics 28kb word. We are investigating what is the most influential factor when buying
a second hand car. On excel I would eliminate the outlier if I need to get a better line of best fit. All
data related to this scatter graph can be found in the results box. I could have used it to estimate the
total number of articles however that would not be accurate and I would not know the different type
of articles there were. Reviews Select overall rating (no rating) Your rating is required to reflect your
happiness. Alternative hypothesis: There is no relationship between the ability to estimate the length
of a straight line and mathematical ability. I would provide my entire hypothesis to get more accurate
results and also to include my prediction. I can use this equation to estimate what exam mark a boy
would get if his error in estimation was 30. To a certain degree of accuracy, this proves my null
hypothesis. A systematic sample might have been better. (E.g. Every third person.). Alternative
hypothesis: There is no relationship between the ability to estimate the length of a straight line and
mathematical ability. 2) Does the estimation of a non straight line improve after practice. Then I will
be able to see both the mean of the girls and the boys and compare them. The sampling methods
available to me were as follows:-. I also did not think that I would have much of a reply rate if I did.
I also took the standard deviation of the values and plotted each stratums deviation on to a bar chart.
Write in detail how you plan with collect your data and what sampling method you horizons use. I
will plot the whole population sample on one graph to show any correlation between the two
variables. Where as the majority of boys come with normal and below average results and make a
better improvement than the Girls.
The tabloid aimed at those with less interest in politics, which would often be aimed at those with
less education than most, in this case the Daily Star, would contain a lot more television related
content and would especially focus upon celebrity news and gossip, whilst using a simple easy to
comprehend, often monosyllabic style of language to attract their audience. With these results I will
calculate the Product Moment Correlation Coefficient of the data to determine if there is a
correlation, and whether the correlation is significant. I will use continuous qualitative data for height
and weight because they can both be measured and can be any value within a given range. This
explains why the inter-quartile range is further spread. I also plotted some pie charts using Microsoft
Excel Application to show the percentage of student’s choices. It will also achieve greater precision
than, for example, random sampling; therefore because it provides greater precision, a stratified
sample often requires a smaller sample, which will avert wasting unnecessary time. Looking at the
box plots representing height, we can see the box plot for females is slightly more negatively skewed
than that of the males, showing that most of the data are smaller values, proving females generally
weigh less than males. On handling data and assistance of my analysis of demand will skills-focused.
The histogram shows that most of the data is near 0 and roughly fits a normal distribution. Once the
histograms have been achieved you are then able to make polygons which are needed for this
investigation. I think that this is because an older car would have been driven more than a new car
and therefore it would be a higher mileage. I will also calculate the mean of both the raw and
grouped data for both year 7 and 11 to try and quantitatively prove a relationship and show whether
I was correct in thinking that on average year 7 students will have smaller feet than year 11 students.
All data related to this scatter graph can be found in the results box. Every person has used the same
facilities, books and material and the teachers have all been taught using the same course. These
results also seem to correlate with the scientific theory of later male development however to make a
solid conclusion of the issue I would need stronger results. I have used the random data selector
provided by the site to select some sample data (about 2500 records) to use and transferred this to a
spreadsheet. These entries were numbered and then using a calculator and the random button the
sample names were collected. e.g Set 1: RND ? 26 gave 13.346. This converts to 14th name using the
rounding up method. Math coursework; math statistics 1389 planning sheet mayfield. This is the
information on the histogram which I have taken from Autograph and put into word. Coursework
accounts for 25% of the final Exam marks. I also took the standard deviation of the values and
plotted each stratums deviation on to a bar chart. I used the same number of boys and girls, because
there is roughly around the same number of boys and girls in the year group and this helps reflect the
whole year group better. I can use this data to create a composite bar chart to represent the proportion
of the different genre of articles. I think that in Boys School case the boys make a better
improvement than the girls. Question 1 Is the ability to estimate the length of a straight line related
to mathematical ability. The data, however, does not include any external factors which may
influence the results of the investigation, for example the dietary habits or quantity of exercise that
the students do. I took the next word from each of those paragraphs. I would provide my entire
hypothesis to get more accurate results and also to include my prediction. If the ability of the Yr7’s is
similar to that of the Yr11’s the results should be in roughly the same place. This would also give me
a general idea of what type of newspaper I’m dealing with.
