II. Course Description:
Under the new Criminology Curriculum CMO No. 05-2018, this particular subject shall deal with the recognizance and learning of the law enforcement bodies in
the Philippines. Being so, this subject will tackle the history, organization, functions, laws, and deal with a comparative analysis of one law enforcement agency to
another. Such approach will guide the students on the familiarization of these agencies and not only on the Philippines National Police. This subject shall also
make the students learn and decide as to where they would want to practice their course should they graduate from BS Criminology program. It has been a usual
misconception that Criminology graduates will always take the blue line (police track), but with the foundation to be set forth by an inter-agency approach subject,
students will be able to understand that they could actually take other law enforcement services in the country and this particular course should be able to pave
the way on learning what those others are.
V. Course Policy:
Attendance will be checked by the instructor every meeting.
The grade period for late comers would be 15 minutes. Beyond that, the student will considered absent.
Three instances of tardiness would be equivalent for one absent.
If a student is scheduled to do an oral presentation or report but failed to come on time, the class will not wait for that
student and that student will loss the chance to report unless he/she made prior arrangement or notice regarding his/her
absence or tardiness.
Term paper, projects, research works or artifacts/portfolios must be strictly submitted as scheduled.
Failure to submit them on the scheduled deadline would mean a failing grade and would no longer be accepted.
A student who failed to take a periodical examination will be given a chance to take a special examination. However, after
the lapse of the special examination period and the student still failed to take the exams, he/she would be given a grade of
40.
