In the 21st century, our world is constantly evolving, influenced by various trends that shape our
culture. From advancements in technology to shifts in social norms, these trends play a crucial role in how
we perceive and interact with the world around us. Critical thinking, the ability to analyze and evaluate
information objectively, is essential in navigating these complexities.
Imagine a world where everyone thinks critically about the information they encounter, where
curiosity and questioning are encouraged. This is the world we strive for, where individuals are empowered
to make informed decisions and contribute positively to society. In this reflection paper, I will explore the
trends shaping 21st-century culture and the role of critical thinking in navigating these trends effectively.
Before starting this subject, I didn't really think much about trends or critical thinking. I mostly just
went with the flow and believed whatever I heard or saw without questioning it much. Sometimes, I would
see things on the internet or hear people talking about stuff, and I would just accept it as true without really
thinking about whether it made sense or not. (Sometimes, I see things on the internet or hear people

But as I started learning more about trends and critical thinking in this subject, I realized how
important it is to question things and think for myself. For example, we talked about how some trends on

But then, our teacher showed us how to look for more information and think critically about whether the
post was true or not. It turned out that a lot of the information in the post was wrong, and I felt glad that I
didn't just believe it right away.
Learning about critical thinking also helped me in other parts of my life, like when I had to do a
project for school. Instead of just copying information from the internet, (I started to question the credibility
and reliability of the source and information. I started to think more about whether the sources were
reliable and if the information made sense. It took a lot of time, but I felt more confident in my work
knowing that I had thought about it carefully.
In our subject, we talked about lots of different trends happening in the world today. One big trend is
technology, like smartphones and social media. These days, almost everyone has a smartphone, and we
use them for everything, like talking to friends, watching videos, and even learning new things. But
sometimes, spending too much time on our phones can make us miss out on other things, like spending
time with our family or going outside to play.

 During this subject, I learned a lot about critical thinking and how to apply it to different situations. At
first, I didn't really know what critical thinking was, but as we dig more about it, I started to understand how

Sometimes, the teacher would use words that I didn't know, and it made it hard for me to follow along. But
