    Name of Part : Battery Interconnect Housing.


    Type of material : BeCu (Beryllium Copper).
    Nominal life of the part : Minimum 2000 Hrs. with Good quality Mud and allowable
    solid particles in mud.
    Colour : Similar to the colour of Bronze.
    OD of the Housing : 1.875 inch (OEM)
    Function : to provide torqued connection/latching between Battery Module
    and Interconnects which establishes connection between different modules of the whole MWD
    Tool/String via HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) Kintec* pin connectors. Also provides
    protection for efficient and safe transmission of power and data through the joints of Kintec* pins
    connectors during the drilling process.

    Conclusion:

    This damaged part is BEYOND REPAIR and cannot be re-used. Due to this
    massive damage, there was a high probability of unexpected downhole
    incident including severe damage to the whole MWD Tool/String (e.g. short
    circuit of any electrical connection within the tool leading to fire or explosion).
    The only reason that attributes to such type of wear and tear / washout is the
    unwanted amount of solid content in the Mud.
    In view of safety of our tool, we request you to maintain the mud parameters like
    solid content, sand content etc. within the permissible range through proper
    functioning of solid control equipments and if possible improve the quality of mud.
