♥ To to use frequency adverbs, (always, usually, sometimes,
never), correctly in sentences and in speech

ACTIVITY 1: WARM UP

AIM: The teacher makes the class comfortable for the lesson to
begin
PROCEDURE: The teacher greets the children, presents herself
and tells them what they are going to do today

ACTIVITY 2: CATCHING
THE ATTENTION

AIM: The teacher begins with some sentences with the


frequency adverbs.
PROCEDURE: First, the teacher explains to the children how
to use the adverbs by using a table 👇 , and play a game on
wordwall.

ACTIVITY 3: LEAD-IN

AIM: To introduce the children in today’s lesson


PROCEDURE: The teacher introduces today’s lesson by
presenting a video about routines and where to put the adverbs.

The teacher asks the children some questions and explains some
things to make sure they understand the correct form:
♥ When do we put the adverbs? (Between subject and action)
♥ If it was a sentence like: I am never late. Then we will put the
adverb after „to be”.

TIME: 7 minutes

ACTIVITY 4: EXERCISES

AIM: To do the exercises from the smartboard and the worksheet.


PROCEDURE: After the teacher explains and the students
understood, they do a listening, and each student receive a peace of
paper with the sentences from the video.
Then, the children receive another sheet: „How often do you…”.
There are 5 boxes. In each box there is one of the adverbs. They are
ticking in the box they consider, next to the box with the sentences.

Then, the next exercise in also on paper, and they look at the chart
and write the names into the paragraphs.
TIME: 30 minutes

ACTIVITY 5: CONSOLIDATION
FOR REVISION
AIM: To deepen the lesson
PRODUCEDURE: When they finish, they do another game with
adverbs from bamboozle with 2 teams.
