DISCOVER THE DUCTED DIFFERENCE
orever at the forefront of rangehood innovation, Schweigen is proud to be educating homeowners across the
F globe on the differences between rangehood varieties. Most recently, Schweigen has shared the differences
between the functions of ducted rangehoods compared with recirculating rangehoods – and how each can
complement different lifestyles and needs.
Much like the name, ducted rangehoods pass cooking exhaust through mesh filters or baffles, with the aims of
capturing airborne grease, before venting smoke and odours through ducts to the outdoors. These rangehoods
do require ducts to be factored into your kitchen design and installed through the wall, or the ceiling above your
cooktop to the outdoors.
Ducted rangehoods are known to produce a better quality of air – with humid and polluted air being completely
extracted from the kitchen, you can enjoy a higher rate of air extraction, and most impressively, ducted rangehoods
with external motors can move the noise out of the home, meaning you can enjoy peaceful silence within the kitchen.
Ducted rangehoods are however, limited to where they can be placed within the home. This is all dependent on
where exactly you can run a ducting system above your cooktop, and through to the great outdoors.
Moving on to recirculating rangehoods; these rangehoods work by extracting cooking exhaust through charcoal or
carbon filters to remove airborne contaminants and odours before recycling this same air back into the kitchen.
Recirculating rangehoods do not require a ductwork to the outdoors, meaning they are more versatile and easier
to install than a ducted rangehood, with less structural or building management constraint.
These rangehoods however, typically run louder due to the sheer fan power required to draw air through the filters.
Alongside this, moist air from the cooking steam is filtered but reintroduced back into the kitchen, meaning it can
get very warm while cooking. Plus, the charcoal or carbon filters from your recirculating rangehood often need to
be replaced once or twice a year, depending on their usage.
The rangehood you choose is up to your personal preference – and your kitchen design of course! If air quality and
noise are your top concerns, like they are for many homeowners, then ducted rangehoods with external motors
will serve you well. For more assistance with choosing the best rangehood for your home, reach out to the product
experts at Schweigen who can help you find your perfect match.

A TRUE COUNTRY HOME RESCUE
eaview Cabinets is thrilled to be once again working alongside iconic Australian interior designer, Shaynna
S Blaze – this time within Channel 9’s successful series, which aired in December 2022, Country Home Rescue.
Having risen into the public eye through 14 seasons of judging and sharing her expertise on Channel 9’s The Block,
Shaynna Blaze is now embarking on her next adventure – the restoration of a tired and run-down 1800s historical
home in regional Victoria’s Kyneton. Alongside her two children, Carly and Jess, Blaze will navigate the endless
problems and roadblocks that come with turning this once renovation nightmare into a warm and inviting forever
home, in an exciting room by room reveal.
Within this incredible renovation, Seaview Cabinets – under the guidance of company director Garrath Jones – has
been able to use the team’s cabinetry skills to produce exceptional end results, which are revealed week by week in
this stellar display of craftsmanship and drive. Seaview Cabinets created all of the wardrobes within the historical
homes’ main house, as well as the kitchenette and wet bar within the Carriage House.
A testament to the quality of work within the Carriage House, Seaview Cabinets has been awarded two ACFA
awards in conjunction with Blaze; Best In-Built Furniture and Best Kitchenette Under $35,000 respectively. This
longstanding relationship between Seaview Cabinets and Blaze has seen them collaborate on a number of jobs
together, including in 2018 which secured both parties a FIAA award win for Best Kitchen Over $80,000.
This is not the first time Seaview Cabinets has worked alongside such huge names either, with the company also
having completed an incredible Pascoe Vale kitchen transformation for Neale Whitaker and Andrew Winter’s Love
It Or List It Australia; a credit to the quality workmanship consistently displayed by the team.
Going into 2023 and beyond, Seaview Cabinets has a plethora of other exciting projects on the go, for both its
valued clients and within larger-scope projects, such as in Country Home Rescue. The team are true masters of
the cabinetry craft, and look forward to delivering plenty more exceptional kitchens, bathrooms and laundries

IN PERFECT
By Katie Livingston
Each individual room in your home has its own purpose and deserves its own unique atmosphere, however for your home to feel
harmonious and inviting, you also need to consider how each space works within the house as a whole. Simply styling each room on its
own and incorporating every element and colour that you like into your spaces without thought is a sure recipe for clutter and chaos.
However, opting for something too uniform is tiring and repetitive – the key is balance. Here Melbourne Kitchen + Bathroom Design’s
editor, Katie Livingston, chats with interior expert Rex Hirst, managing director of Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors, about how you can
strike that perfect equilibrium between cohesivity and diversity.

INDEPENDENT CABINET MAKERS (ICM) GEELONG
AWARDS 2022
Now in its fifth year, the ICM Geelong Cabinetry of the Year Awards began as a fun way to celebrate the skill and hard work of its members and bolster industry connections,
form friendships and recognise the industry’s worthy achievements. Today, this event has become recognised as a prestigious award within the industry, where independent
cabinet makers have the opportunity to garner fame for their outstanding craftsmanship.
Entries for 2022 were shortlisted by polytec and Caesarstone in the respective categories, with a panel of guest judges making the final decision. With dozens of submissions
across five categories, industry stars Melissa Andrew (Livingetc), Andy Sunderland (The Block, 2016), Michael De Stefano (Gartland Real Estate) and Marylou Cafaro (Interior
Designer and Trend Forecaster), had the difficult decision of choosing just one winner for each category, and the final results showcase the incredibly high standard and skill
of Geelong’s local tradespeople.
Founded in 2015, ICM Geelong is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, born from a collaboration of experienced business owners and qualified tradespeople who joined
forces to showcase the expertise of Geelong’s local cabinetmakers. The committee fosters the support and sharing of resources between local tradespeople, and works to
promote these cabinetmakers by providing helpful advice and a comprehensive member directory for homeowners.

BEST POLYTEC KITCHEN
WINNER: T&M CABINETRY
In a kitchen that is both contemporary and cosy, these polytec 'Prime Oak Woodmatt'
cabinets strike the perfect balance between modernity and natural warmth. The
sweeping curves and stunning grain-matched cabinetry are made possible by the
high quality polytec product. This level of customisation brings the kitchen to a new
height of sophistication. The 60mm ‘Rain Cloud’ Corian benchtops add a stunning
contrast, while staying true to the luxury vibe of the kitchen
“The contrast between the oak, bright white and gold really invites you into this
space. Together they create a warm contrast that works in colour harmony with the
exposed brick wall and the pops of black and polished concrete floors. The subtle
vertical lines in the timber draw your eyes up and showcase the high ceilings. Overall
I would say the kitchen benches and cabinetry were the perfect choices for this space
and the surrounding architecture and décor.” – Michael de Stefano
“Perfectly tailored to create a serious yet warm and inviting kitchen and entertaining

Situated in a fashionable new home at Geelong’s Federal Mills for the contemporary
Ena Pelly fashion brand, the bespoke commercial fitout has been brought to life by
Alex and the team at Monarch Kitchens & Joinery. The custom reception counter is
the star of the show in this project, complemented by polytec Steccawood battens in
‘Natural Oak Ravine’, which provide a warm and rich texture in the stunning reception
counter. Sourced by the client, the exquisite marble countertops have been made
and installed by Geelong Marble House. The tall storage units also in ‘Natural Oak
Ravine’ include polytec ‘Classic White Matt’ shelving. The accompanying kitchenette
in polytec ‘Classic White’ completes this fashionable new home at Geelong’s Federal
Mills for the contemporary Ena Pelly fashion brand.
“The fluted oak reception desk with curved edges is perfectly offset by the old
marble choice. Together they create a striking welcome point for the company. The
finishes of the adjoining wall complement the style choices of the reception desk
without being excessive. Hidden storage also makes for excellent functionality.”
– Michael de Stefano
“Great colour and textural connection between the polytec ‘Natural Oak Steccawood’
reception counter and the two tone tall storage unit with the polytec 'Natural Oak
Ravine' mimicking the reception line.” – Mary-Lou Cafaro
Balance and symmetry boasts a sleek and clean aesthetic in this inspiring kitchen
and living room space. Natural light floods the spacious kitchen, and clever
storage solutions, including deep drawers, have been infused into the framework
of this interior. The bright cabinetry in polytec ‘Designer White Matt’ is perfectly
complemented by a trending Guildford profile, which gives this space a welcoming
yet contemporary feel. The ‘Caesarstone Rugged Concrete’ benchtops with a 20mm
profile give the kitchen a rustic air that contrasts nicely with the white matte of the
smooth satin finish cabinetry.
“Overall, some really great cabinetry with high quality craftsmanship which I would
be happy to see in my own home. Everyone should be really proud of the amazing
products that they have produced.” – Andy Sunderland
“The modern feeling created by the smooth concrete complements the minimalist
white cabinets while also creating quite the aesthetic contrast with the recycled
brick adjoining wall! The exposed texture within the concrete is quite striking and
tactile. The fact the cabinetry and bench has been extended down into the lounge
area extends the eye and stops the kitchen from feeling boxy.” – Michael de Stefano
Sponsored by Hettich Australia, the Best 2022 Cabinetry Project is a ‘people’s choice
award’ and ten short-listed projects as chosen by Andy Sunderland were taken to
social media for locals to cast their votes. More than 300 people voted in a 24 hour
period and this stunning project from MTR Cabinets was a clear winner.

FAVOURITE PROJECT OF ALL TIME
WINNER: LIVING SPACE JOINERY
Sponsored by Wurth.
Positioned on a hilltop overlooking Bells Beach, this project involved alterations and
additions to the iconic three-bedroom residence. The existing footprint was largely
reused, with components of the original dwelling retained, while at the same time, the
team at Living Space Joinery completely reimagined the building.
The brief for Lachlan Shepherd Architects called for a refined home with a highly
detailed application of material, but with a comfortable, warm aesthetic. Living Space
Joinery’s response was to utilise an earthy, textural palette to harmonize with the
surrounding environment, essentially appearing as though the reimagined building
had always been there. This was achieved through solid blackbutt kitchen joinery
with a custom Concrete Republic benchtop to retain the rustic character of the space.
The team are especially proud of the cleverly mirrored ‘invisible wardrobe’, which is
approximately 4.8m high and skillfully mitred to perfection.

SMITH & SMITH KITCHENS
IMMACULATE ARTISTRY
KITCHENS THAT CAPTIVATE
Hamptons-style luxury is the best way to describe this breathtaking kitchen by Smith & Smith Kitchens. In an effort to
redesign the outdated and clumsy layout of the previous kitchen, the result is this holiday feel with a modern elegance. The
light-filled space is vibrant and spacious, with classic whites highlighting the expansiveness of the room. Anyone is sure to
feel at home in this generous and inviting kitchen.
Luxury is at the forefront of this design, with carefully chosen elements that add decadence to the space. The generous black
freestanding oven perfectly centres the kitchen; a masterful design element that provides incredible function. Brass handles
implemented across the cabinetry brings another element of glamour to the look.
The shaker-style cabinetry is another design win in this kitchen paradise. This ageless look gives the room a feeling
of nostalgia and elegance. Coated in the gorgeous Dulux ‘Natural White’, this panelling shines in the daylight. The true
centrepiece of this kitchen, however, is the luxuriously large island bench. The panelling in Dulux’s ‘Metalise’ creates a
captivating contrast, which adds a depth to the room and creates cohesion between the darker and lighter elements.
The new butler’s pantry is equipped with maximised storage, organised seamlessly to overcome the challenges of the space.
Inside, the fridge, dishwasher, and other appliances are kept out of view from the living area, allowing the kitchen to remain
free of clutter or mess.
This extraordinary makeover is a sight to behold. Decades of experience are more than evident in this thoughtfully planned
design from Smith & Smith Kitchens. Every detail has been expertly executed to create this cohesive Hamptons-style kitchen
with all the function and look of the modern day.
The star of the show is certainly the gorgeous stone benchtop. The detailed texture of the ‘Super White’ Dolomite stone is the
perfect accent piece to this refined space. A marble-like finish gives the kitchen an added sense of luxury, the subtle greys
beautifully complementing the white cabinets.
Cascading down to the floor, the stone benchtop adds grandeur to this kitchen. The overhanging edges allows for extra
barstool seating, which adds a versatility to the space, giving the family the opportunity to seat more guests or simply use
the bench as a breakfast bar.
As these ceilings are standard height, the company has expertly chosen tall, narrow cabinetry to surround the cooktop. This
intelligent decision creates the illusion that the ceilings are higher than they are, aided by the white of the panels seamlessly
flowing into the white of the ceiling. These clever techniques are a true demonstration of the decades of industry experience
that sets Smith & Smith Kitchens apart.
This contemporary oasis is the perfect centrepiece for a modern Australian home. The expert design combines timeless,
traditional elements with the latest on-trend styling choices, while providing optimal functionality. With all the storage and
seating you could ask for, this design is the perfect family kitchen.
The ‘wow’ feature of this kitchen is the stunning American oak wine rack. Creating warmth and tying the timber features
together, this is a statement piece that adds instant character. The elegant design acts not only as a helpful storage option,
but also as a piece of art within the home.
The generous kitchen island bench centres the room with its vivid black colour and stunning Neolith benchtop. The bold and
daring design choice to install the cooktop straight into the island bench is made possible by the Neolith benchtop’s heat
resistant and easy to clean surface.
Allowing for optimal functionality while maintaining the desired vision, Smith & Smith Kitchens has cleverly used bespoke
panelling to integrate the various kitchen appliances. The dishwasher is completely concealed within matte black joinery
that mimics the look of two drawers, while the ovens are on display but nicely framed within the centre of the surrounding
cabinets.
Storage was maximised similarly without compromising the modern look created by the cabinetry. Drawers within drawers
increase the available space while maintaining the clean lines on the American oak doors, accommodating generously for a
family household.
The bold black of the kitchen island and overhead cabinetry creates a captivating spectacle without darkening the room. A
sense of drama and intrigue is added to the space, all while leaving enough room for the American oak to add a much-needed
warmth. This is an awe-inspiring blend of modern style and nostalgic delight.
The owner of this property wanted a simple kitchen that still had that ‘wow’ factor to complete their new home. The
immaculate harmony of colour palette, textures, and spacing has been beautifully executed by Smith & Smith Kitchens to
achieve this for the client.
Despite the monochrome aesthetic of this kitchen, Smith & Smith Kitchens has managed to ensure the space retains a sense
of softness and welcoming. The smooth, matte textures of the cabinetry and laminates allow them to glow in the natural
light, creating a delicate warmth. The kitchen therefore becomes the perfect statement piece without feeling jarring within
the space.
Smith & Smith Kitchens placed careful consideration on the function of this kitchen as well as the unique styling. The
previous kitchen was an incohesive jumble of drawers and cabinets that could not be used in the way this family wanted.
Now, this new design provides a captivating elegance as well as a seamless flow throughout the space.
Shaker-style panelling around the generous kitchen island is the first step to achieving a timeless and traditional look.
Coated in the breathtaking ‘Classic Calm’ from Dulux, the bench is the perfect centrepiece to the kitchen, inviting your eyes
to follow the luscious colour.
This leads to the dazzling textures of the splashback tiling, intended to imitate pressed metal. Similarly coated in this owner’s
feature colour, these gorgeous tiles tie the room together while adding to the desired classic feel. The texture provided from
this wall also provides a level of depth that captivates the eye and warms the space.
Where the feature colour is not used, Dulux’s ‘Whisper White’ injects a magnificent vibrance to the kitchen. This colour
not only brightens the space but creates a seamless flow from the existing areas of this home. The shaker-style cabinetry
continues throughout the kitchen, now coated in this vibrant white colour, tying the island in with the rest of the space
cohesively.
Providing high-quality service for more than 30 years, Smith & Smith Kitchens has garnered a prestigious reputation for its
bespoke, award-winning designs. The company services the greater Melbourne area, with frequent ventures into regional
areas.
Winning countless awards over the years, Smith & Smith Kitchens continues to build its reputation as one of Melbourne’s
leading cabinet makers. Most recently, the company won the 2021 Housing Industry Association (HIA) award for Best
Renovated Kitchen up to $30,000.
In 2020 the company received HIA-CSR’s Best Renovated Kitchen in the $50,001–$100,000 category in metropolitan Melbourne
and was named finalist in three other categories. Visit the website to view the winning projects.
Smith & Smith Kitchens offers two showroom locations that are open seven days a week, one based in Rowville and the other
Doncaster. Simply drop by to witness the company’s expertise in person or arrange a design consultation with the team and
get your dream design underway.
Better Bathrooms & Kitchens worked with Sam Robinson Interior Design to update elements of this traditional Californian
bungalow and modernise the space. A fresh, inviting revitalisation of the kitchen, dining room and bathroom brings this
brilliant home back to life and infuses contemporary luxury within the building’s classical charm.
Maintaining the monochrome palette, the kitchen is elegant in black and white. With high-end fittings and appliances, such
as the stunning Classic Deluxe oven from Falcon, Smeg kettle and Breville coffee machine – the kitchen exudes a classy
elegance that is both pretty and practical.
The kitchen cabinetry is in a white, shaker profile and has been designed with ample storage for maximum functionality. The
marriage between old and new can be found even in the smallest of details – from the antique-style cup pull handles to the
recessed lighting – creating a harmonious balance. Stunning subway tiles add a modern touch, while the joinery, alongside
farmhouse-style ceramic sink, maintains that traditional feel.
The cabinetry flows from the kitchen right through to the dining area, again providing ample storage along the wall. The
dining table is generously sized for eight, creating a seamless entertaining area. There’s also a double-sized wine cooler and
beautiful pendant lighting to complete the space.
To highlight the home’s existing statement pieces, such as the fireplace, Better Bathrooms & Kitchens created a storage unit
surrounding it. Additional wall storage continues into the living area, where a mullion frame curio cabinet showcases the
homeowner’s prised books and décor.
The true stand out of this room is the black clawfoot bathtub, placed under a light-filled window. Exposed silver tapware add
a luxurious touch to brighten the space ensuring that this bathroom feels expensive, yet inviting.
Other luxuries include the ceiling-height drying rack, walk-in shower and additional storage cabinetry for linen. The space is
tied together with the bold and beautiful patterned tiles, which shine centre stage and perfectly juxtapose the minimal look
of the subway tiles.

BESPOKE ELEGANCE
A CHARMING KITCHEN WITH MODERN FUNCTION
Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors has once again delivered groundbreaking results with this enchanting, light-filled kitchen.
This space is a love letter to classic style with contemporary elements injected throughout to create a tremendous harmony
of aesthetics. The open-plan design fit with a gorgeous natural quartzite kitchen island at the centre is the perfect ‘welcome
home’.
Though undeniably spacious, the clever choice of colour in this kitchen allows the space to feel, at the same time, comfortingly
intimate. Soft creams and beiges define the space without sacrificing the charming warmth this kitchen provides. A certain
nostalgia is evoked by the timeless choice of the shaker-style cabinetry, assuring that these homeowners are afforded the
perfect combination of comfort and style.
This design has been centred at the home in a cohesive manner, the living room flowing effortlessly into the kitchen and
creating a distinguished and functional space. Family-friendly and versatile, these intelligent decisions allow the homeowners
to make use of the space as they please, as an exquisitely functional kitchen or an entertainer’s delight.
Among everything else, storage is another aspect that has been carefully considered by this skilled team. An ample number
of bespoke cabinets have been expertly built to consider this family’s specific needs. These cabinets – though functional –
also echo the original foundations of this beautiful home, as the panels reflect the design of the ceiling battening.
The flow of the space was a challenge that this team expertly overcame. The placement of the kitchen island in such a way
that allows traffic to move seamlessly from the hallway into the space was a genius decision. The homeowners are given
the opportunity to use this island in any way they see fit, the curved end of the overhanging counter is able to accommodate
more chairs or simply stand on its own.
All aspects of this project were made with the highest-quality materials provided by the Let’s Talk Kitchens & Interiors
team. Not only are they sure to last, but this owner can rest assured that their cabinetry is all made with E0 certified board
produced here in Australia. This product is eco-friendly and made from sustainable sources.
The owner’s vision for a home with modern appliances but a vintage feel was well and truly achieved by the expert
tradespeople in this team. Helping the owner every step of the way, the in-house designers and project managers came
together to ensure the installation of this elegant masterpiece was smooth and well-executed.

NATURE’S DELIGHT
COUNTRY LANDSCAPE TO HARMONIOUS INTERIOR
Cantilever Interiors has delivered outstanding results with a stunning update to this home in the valley of the Strathbogie
Ranges. Tasked with a renovation to update the home and capture the surrounding landscape, the company selected its EDIT
system to install. Featuring American oak veneer and solid timber finger-pull handles, and curved corner detailing, it was the
perfect option to incorporate the natural surrounds. By pairing locally sourced Australian dolomite natural stone benchtops
and steel plate detailing, Cantilever Interiors has created a cohesive and captivating kitchen.
The palette for this renovation was inspired by the external environment and the changing colours of the landscape
throughout the seasons. These colours not only achieve this look, but also act as a way to warm the expansive interior.
Outside, a gorgeous outdoor kitchen was installed with an integrated fridge and barbecue, the stainless steel beautifully
standing out against the backdrop.
This homeowner also loves to host, which Cantilever Interiors took on board in its design. In the living room, the EDIT living
unit is designed to conveniently allow the TV to slide out of view when having guests over. The EDIT bar solution is another
beautiful addition to the space with the continued use of the American oak timber. It holds integrated fridge units, a sink, and
glass and liquor storage – the entertainer’s dream.

RENOVATION SENSATION
A FAMILY FITOUT
This remarkable renovation was brought to life by the team at Mint Kitchen Group. The homeowners – a family of four and
their friendly dog – needed a kitchen redesign that suited the lifestyle of hungry teens and parents who are both avid chefs.
Before the fit out, the kitchen was dark, dated and not very user-friendly, so functionality and light were priorities for this
refreshing build. To make this happen, the existing wall dividing the kitchen and meals area was removed to open up the
space, making it ideal for the regular entertaining that this family loves.
Two large skylights were incorporated into the vaulted ceiling to add a sense of height and flood the kitchen with an
abundance of natural light; this is enhanced by a new splashback window above the sink and cooktop area that looks out
onto the deck. A double-sided island bench with allowance for seating at the rear created a place for casual dining for the
family, as well as adding extra kitchen storage below.
Website: www.mintkitchengroup.com.au
Facebook: /mintkitchengroup
Instagram: @mint_kitchen_group
The window on the left of the kitchen was fitted out with low-line drawers and an upholstered cushion was added to this area
for family to sit or lie down and relax with the dog, who just adores using this space for his daytime naps.
An integrated Liebherr tall wine fridge with a Blum SERVO-DRIVE mechanism was added to the end of the kitchen run for
that extra bit of luxury, which continues the clean aesthetic of the darker elements of this kitchen, while the lighter coloured
doors help to blend in with the style of the existing home.
Mint Kitchen Group offers exquisite, highly functional designs to homeowners throughout Melbourne. Established more than
ten years ago by Frank Iaria, Lindsay Williams and Albert Zarb, the company builds more than 100 kitchens annually, and has
the expertise to construct every project with the highest quality finish. With a mission to deliver renovations that are stress-
free and enjoyable for all parties involved, the team endeavours to cater to your unique lifestyle and needs.
STUNNING MINIMALISM
A SLEEK AND FORWARDTHINKING DESIGN
The exceptional team at Seaview Cabinets have masterfully produced this eclectic kitchen. Combining natural elements and
painted finishes, the result is a clean minimalist look that excites the eye. This contemporary marvel is cleverly designed to
create a sense of flow throughout the space. The soft edges of the kitchen island mimic the curved wall, and this is further
enhanced by timber lining on the island that cohesively ties the natural pattern of the benchtop to the floorboards.
Given the brief of ‘storage, storage, storage’, Seaview Cabinets has certainly not disappointed, making excellent use of the
extraordinary ceilings by taking the cabinetry 3100mm high. This intelligent decision allows not only for optimal storage
options but works to expand the space, highlighting the grandeur of the room.
In order to achieve the sleek look of the kitchen, Seaview Cabinets has provided handle-less cabinetry in most places. Along
the curved wall, the team have opted for J-groove handles that mimic the panelling and work to continue this minimalist
vision for the space.

Westside Cabinets has not held back in its carefully considered design of this sleek and contemporary kitchen. Boasting bold
blacks and modern appliances, this kitchen is a functional space that at the same time makes a statement as the centrepiece
of the home. This conversation starter is sure to be the envy of the many guests it will host.
The luxuriously large island bench captures the eye, as its glossy finish contrasts the matte texture of the surrounding
surfaces. This clever choice creates a sense of depth within the space, evoking excitement with the simple use of one colour.
Opting for clean, handle-less cabinetry only works to further this vision; the tasteful illusion that the kitchen is seemingly
expanding beyond the bounds of its walls.
A sliding door on the walk-in pantry gives its owners the opportunity to separate the space by its operational and stylistic
qualities. Guests may gather around the elegant kitchen island while food and beverages can be easily prepared in the
spacious pantry. These two aspects of the intelligent design work in perfect cohesion in this design-lover’s kitchen.

DESIGN & ASSEMBLY
Built into the existing framework of the home, the kitchen was the centrepiece to the newly built extension, made to be open
and welcoming as well as functional. A marriage of solid timber, modern white and natural tones, this kitchen is light-filled
and beautiful.
These existing tall ceilings, high windows and skylights are a stunning feature of the kitchen space. Inline Cabinetry ensured
that the cabinetry was subtle and didn’t detract from these established features. By creating floating shelves instead of
upper cabinetry in the majority of the main kitchen and the butler’s pantry nook, the space feels airy, simple, and open.
The bench legs are made from solid American oak, while the upper cabinetry and floating shelves are made of polytec
‘Natural Oak Ravine’, giving a grounded warmth to the room. The brass handles also bring in the earthy tones against the
white matte cabinetry, which is a polytec ‘Sussex’ vinyl wrap.

The use of polytec for the doors and cabinetry, coupled with the Multiform Stone from Stonemasons and Blum Hardware

home’s warm ambience.
The spaciousness of the room is felt with the generously sized kitchen island bench with bar stools on one side and prep
station on the other. Ample storage continues with a twin fridge and storage cabinetry. The sleek but earthy feel continues
through to the pantry, tucked away discreetly to allow the space to remain clean and organised.

NATURAL ELEGANCE
A STUNNING CONTEMPORARY DESIGN
Inspired by the simple elegance of nature, this stunning contemporary kitchen and bathroom was completed by the innovative
team at Finewood Designer Kitchens. Working in collaboration with the builder and owner of the home, the team was able to
construct spaces that honoured natural materials and complemented the rest of the house.
Utilising stunning textural and linear elements, the island bench serves as a central hub that ties the kitchen together and
makes it a prime area for entertaining. The use of Steccawood’s ‘Natural Oak Ravine’ panelling in a half round profile offers
a natural warmth to the sleek lines of the kitchen and is paired perfectly with the Fibonacci Terrazzo benchtops in ‘Pavlova’.
The curving edge of the bench brings a natural flow to the room and functions in beautiful accordance with the multiple-entry
design of the kitchen.
Using floating timber shelves and sleek white overhead cabinetry, the team at Finewood Designer Kitchens continued to play
with the natural power of linear texture within this project. This combination of materials adds strong lines that highlight the
dimensions of the kitchen and draw attention to the breathtaking pitched ceilings. Black appliances and LED strip lighting
offer a contemporary contrast that enhances the elegance of the design.
Website: finewooddesignerkitchens.com.au
This use of natural materials and textures continues into the showstopping bathroom. The vanity is made out of ‘Natural Oak
Ravine’ to complement the rest of the house. This room is a clear demonstration of the skills and innovative style design of
the Finewood Designer Kitchens team.

SCO DESIGN
Ever at the forefront of contemporary design, SCO Designs completed this stunning trio of luxurious bathrooms for a
delightful early 2000’s home in Wantirna South. Each of these spaces were in need of an update to meet today’s standards
of luxury and style, a renovation that the experts at SCO Design handled with ease.
The downstairs powder room is the embodiment of sophistication; with a contemporary cove-profile vanity topped with a
bright Calcutta stone benchtop and splashback, this space has been truly rejuvenated into a modern oasis. Cool stone-look
tiles add dimension without darkening this bright and inviting space, while matte black tapware and mirror frames tie in with
the vanity’s dark colour palette to create a stylish definition.
Travelling upstairs, the master en suite is truly a sight to behold. This grand space hosts a freestanding bathtub and
frameless glass shower that allows a seamless flow from one end of the room to the other. Pale and white tones are the
centrepiece of this en suite, reflecting the natural light and cultivating a sense of warmth and openness. ‘Stamford’ Terrazzo

PERFECTLY BALANCED
A MASTERFUL USE OF COLOUR AND TEXTURE
Brimming with contemporary elegance, this stunning kitchen was crafted by the experts at Masterpiece Cabinetry in
conjunction with the team at Niche Build Pty Ltd.
A grand island bench claims the centre of attention, encased in warm V-groove Porta Timber panels with a cool marble
benchtop creating the perfect contrast. Inside the main preparation area, the dark notes of polytec Woodmatt panels in
‘Bottega Oak Woodmatt’ add definition in the lower cabinetry, while the overhead handle-less cabinets in sleek white two-
pack carefully conceal the rangehood and maintain a sleek aesthetic. This clever combination of colours and textures adds
visual diversity, while its clean lines and minimalist fixtures ensure that the space remains unencumbered by clutter.
Masterpiece Cabinetry perfectly balanced the use of straight and curved lines in this space, with a concave feature wall
mirroring both the curve and V-groove timber of the island before seamlessly intersecting with the crisp modern joinery.
Maximising the functionality and potential of the space, a highly practicable butler’s pantry is tucked behind the main kitchen,
and houses the bulk of the homeowner’s small and large appliances. The same dark Woodmatt joinery commands attention
in this space, and houses the sleek integrated fridge. Once again the white two-pack is featured on the upper cabinetry to
ensure that the space retains an open and inviting feel.

MODERN OASIS
CONTEMPORARY LIVING MADE STYLISH
This stunning kitchen by Tamara Jane Kitchens – constructed in collaboration with the team at Accent Building Group – is a
testament to the quality and style that the company brings to each project. In true contemporary fashion, the kitchen is part
of a spacious open-plan design. Sitting harmoniously beside the comfortable living area and dining space, the kitchen is the
social hub of this modern home.
The kitchen itself is a sleek white space, with a pop of black in the fridge and oven, as well as wood tones that provide some
warmth to the minimalist space. The contemporary look is achieved with handle-less cabinetry and recessed lighting to
allow a light, airy feel. The accented wood on the stone island brings an earthy atmosphere, which is juxtaposed nicely by
the sharp edges and lines of the kitchen.
The butler’s pantry provides a discreet yet ample amount of storage, where the unsightly appliances, cookware and food
can be stored. With a large sink and plenty of bench space, this pantry is a great extension of the main kitchen that provides
both functionality and style.

spa-like retreat.
The organic, clay-like look of the bathroom colour palette was achieved with the use of volcanic-coloured ‘Spicy Matt’ floor
tiles that wrap up the wall behind the bath. Paired with the matte white wall tiles, the custom wall-hung vanity in spotted
gum and the hand-made concrete basin ensure that this bathroom is warm and inviting.
Absolutely bespoke to the homeowners, this retreat pays homage to its origins with recycled and reused materials. The
stand-out features are the vintage elements – the stained-glass window above the bath and the art deco wall sconce fit
seamlessly with the style in the rest of the house.

MAGNIFICENTLY MODERN
CUSTOM RESIDENTIAL JOINERY
This stunning home cabinetry was accomplished by the impressive team at Melbourne Joinery Services. Built with aesthetic
design in mind, the kitchen features sleek white sheen drawers and cabinets that are fitted to the wall and above the fridge
to maximise kitchen space, with an under-light wall feature that brightens the entire bench area.
A seamless corrugated timber island sits proudly in the middle of the kitchen, its extended benchtop the perfect seating
area for casual yet sophisticated dining. The contemporary handle-less overhead cabinets provide a subtle backdrop, while
the island and the subway-tiled splashback add texture and intrigue to the space without interrupting the minimalist feel.
The bathroom is an interior dreamscape; its cool tones in ‘Lexicon Half’ and under-counter cabinetry match the kitchen’s
feature bench space, with seamless craftsmanship, black tapware, and subtle lighting oozing elegance in the room. The
interior’s bright colour palette draws welcoming rays of natural light into each space, which add a subtle warmth that blends
with the crisp whites and greys of the joinery to cultivate an inviting and stylish atmosphere.

REFINED MODERNITY
A COHESIVE AND CONSIDERED HOME RENOVATION
This crisp, modern renovation has been flawlessly executed by the team at Kitchen Update. This company has transformed
a bathroom, en suite, wardrobe, laundry, and kitchen, creating a cohesive and continued style throughout the home.
Contrasting touches of black add drama to the gorgeous greys and whites in each space.
The main bathroom is a prime example of refined luxury, boasting a decadent bathtub and well-equipped shower. The
carefully considered layout of the space has allowed a more restricted area to feel spacious and indulgent, bringing elements
of a spa retreat into the owners’ own home.
Storage has been expertly optimised, with multiple drawers and a cabinet, tied together with a stunning stone benchtop from
Caesarstone. The impressive grey tiling is the perfect finishing touch, adding a depth to the space while still allowing the
dramatic black adornments to stand out. This is the perfection relaxation refuge.
In the smaller en suite, a playful yet sophisticated floor tile adds detail and character, continuing the black and white styling.
A thinner, white tile to cover the walls ensures the space does not feel crowded or small, an intelligent move that brightens
the space. Once again, storage has been carefully considered, with enough drawers and cabinet space to easily cater to these
homeowners.
The connecting wardrobe allows the spaces to flow together seamlessly, with the repeated use of white and intelligent
positioning. Cleverly positioned right next to the en suite door, this joinery allows the homeowner to easily step out of the
bathroom and get ready for the day. A mix of hanging space and drawers ensures that there is ample space for all types of
clothing, another example of Kitchen Update’s immaculate design techniques.
This continued use of the white panelling with black handles further unifies the home. To add a cosy and traditional feel to
this space, Kitchen Update has instead used shaker-style cabinets, the design evoking a sense of nostalgia in the room. The
clever use of drawers within cabinets ensures that the design elements shine while still providing maximum storage for
this family.
The generous island bench is the centrepiece of this magnificent kitchen, finished with another stunning Caesarstone
benchtop. The unique choice to add an exquisite Australian Messmate timber extension to the island at a lower level allows
the homeowners more options for seating, or to use the surface as a separate serving space for dishes.

HÄCKER AUSTRALIA
Häcker Australia’s latest project shines a spotlight on its walnut kitchen – a space that proves kitchens don’t have to be
large to pack a punch. Presented with a brief to utilise the space as both a functional kitchen and office space without
compromising on aesthetic, Häcker Australia crafted a warm kitchen that evoked a sense of calm.
The use of the ‘Walnut Bali’ coupled with soft touches of the ‘Laser Soft’ black provide the warm tonal feel that provides the
perfect segue from kitchen to work. To maintain a minimalist aesthetic, both the fridge and dishwasher are integrated into
the seamless walnut profile across the kitchen. This is then contrasted with the linear black matte handles.
The stepped island to kitchen table provides both form and function. In the small format kitchen, the ability to provide a
designated dining space that does not to double as a workspace is unique. The office space was thoughtfully designed to
incorporate a desk, as well as open shelving in the walnut and concealed storage for office supplies and appliances.

SIMPLY MESMERISING
CRISP, CALM AND RIGHT ON TREND
The ideal embodiment of the classic V-groove style, this crisp and calm kitchen from the team at Tulip Kitchens & Designs
evokes clean continuity from the very outset. Subtle, pale green dances across the joinery, and provides a welcome contrast
to the crisp, refreshing whites of the benchtop and tiles. Achieved using satin Dulux ‘Pale Green Tea’, this brilliant pale green
hue seen on the custom-made cabinetry fronts was hand-painted in a brush stroke to achieve the desired impact and texture.
Expertly combined with brilliant brass handles and a desk made from recycled blackhole Blackbutt, this kitchen is the height
of modern sophistication.
Ergonomically designed, the entire kitchen space boasts functionality to its very core – complete with built-in appliances and
seamless, handle-less cabinetry for maximum visual continuity and ample storage. The Caesarstone ‘Pure White’ benchtops,
along with their corresponding white Franke undermount sink, create a refreshingly clean and subdued statement, whereby
no attention is taken from other details within the kitchen.
Quality Blum fittings within the space also ensure extended, trouble-free enjoyment for the homeowners for decades to
come. Meanwhile, clever window positioning and convenient downlighting guarantee that the entire area remains effortlessly
illuminated, from dawn right through to dusk.

Proudly servicing the city of Greater Geelong – including the breathtaking Bellarine Peninsula, the eastern parts of the Surf
Coast Shire and the south-easterly parts of the Golden Plains Shire – Tulip Kitchens & Designs is an Australian-made and
locally-owned company.
Originally established in the Netherlands back in 1993, the company’s almost 30 years of experience within the cabinetry
industry continues to give the team a competitive edge, as well as providing them with the expertise to manage all facets of
the design, manufacturing, and installation of high-quality cabinetry. While the company’s passion lies within kitchens, Tulip
Kitchens & Designs specialises in quality joinery and luxury cabinetry for all living areas of the home.
As an active member of the Australian Cabinet and Furniture Association (ACFA), Tulip Kitchens & Designs consistently
exhibits top quality standards and workmanship, alongside its offer of a seven-year warranty to clients on all of its work.
As well as being proud members of the Independent Cabinet Makers Geelong, Tulip Kitchens & Designs makes use of
the renowned ‘Dynamic Space’ philosophy during the design of custom cabinetry and feature furniture. This manifests in
consistent customer praise for the company’s custom concepts, creativity and the unique fusion of practicality and style.
Hi-End Joinery & Interior Solutions showcases its versatility with these two stunning kitchen projects. The first coined as
the ‘Hampton Style’, with a classical charm that is offset by the second, ‘Modern Style’ project, which boasts bold, dark, and
contemporary features. Utterly unique from one another, these kitchens serve their purpose in meeting the clients’ aesthetic
and functional needs.
As the focal point of first project, the chimney breast is both beautiful and striking. Housing an integrated Sirius rangehood,
this statement piece acts as the defining feature of this kitchen’s Hamptons aesthetic. With white cabinetry, marble floors
and arabesque tiled splashback, the rest of the space follows suit with a classic yet casual, cool, and contemporary look.
The island benchtop features an 80mm thick stone top and is perfectly sized for the room, grounding the space with the chic
shaker doors and silver drawer pulls. The pantry inner drawers offer a more effective storage solution than the traditional
shelf pantry. The kitchen’s coastal, classy feel fits perfectly with the rest of the home.
Website: www.hiendjoinery.com.au
Instagram: @hiend.joinery
The vision for the second project was a brand-new build incorporating purely modern design points. The luxurious aesthetic
is executed seamlessly with a ‘less is more’ approach that results in a minimalist, chic space. The open-plan design, which
incorporates one mirrored and one window splashback, creates the illusion of endless elegance.
The understated matte black joinery is offset by striking gold fixtures, kickers, and recessed finger-pull rails. The yellow LED
strip lighting throughout adds to the modern feel but warms up the black woodgrain doors and allows the gold accents to
shine. The stunning natural granite benchtops, whose grain is reminiscent of the face of the moon, elevates the space to an
effortless opulence.
Hi-End Joinery & Interior Solutions specialises in high-end kitchens, but the company boasts a range of skills that means
it can help you with living room wall units, walk in wardrobes, flat pack manufacturing and many more renovation projects.
Servicing Victoria-wide, Hi-End Joinery & Interior Solutions is a HIA member and dedicated to providing exceptional results
to each client.
Drawing on years of expertise, Q Bathrooms has worked exceptionally hard to produce this playful yet sophisticated
bathroom. The intricate and unique detailing of the floor and wall tiles beautifully complements the modern and clean
shapes of the mirrors and sinks in this clever design. The space has been expertly used, boasting a luxurious bathtub, double
vanity sink, and elegant shower.
Carefully considered to comfortably accommodate for two people, this intelligent planning ensures that the space is a
sanctuary for relaxation and decompression. The freestanding bathtub evokes images of a spa getaway in this owner’s very
own home, with a modern shower head that leaves nothing to be desired.
Q Bathrooms’ keen eye for colour is the stunning finishing touch to the masterpiece bathroom. A deep forest green centres
the vanity as the foundation for this space, with gold finishings on the handles and taps to tie the whole room together.
Touches of blush in the furnishings further highlight the story of a bathroom that is equally as gorgeous as it is functional.

Evoking elegance from the very first glance, this brilliant kitchen and laundry space from the team at Sabra Projects is as
functional as it is beautiful. At its core, the kitchen’s sleek surfaces and joinery, combined with extensive storage options
makes it the perfect fit for a home of entertainers. Homeowners can make use of the glorious freestanding kitchen island,
while matte black fixtures and tapware brilliantly contrast against the space’s airy white hues.
Pops of ‘Bayleaf Green’ throughout the space – seen most notably in the island bench – add an air of tranquillity and
opulence to the kitchen. Meanwhile, sliding glass doors open out to convenient underbench drawers, white overhead shelves
and even some refreshing sunlight thanks to an elegant arched window.
Among this uber-functional area, profiled cabinetry doors and a butler’s sink ensure homeowners can really enjoy and
maximise upon their kitchen space, while a freestanding oven is an exceptionally versatile addition to the space. Providing
a beautiful contrast to the calming neutral tones in the remainder of the space, the chic black oven also allows the
complementary dark kitchen stools and sliding door framing to enchant the eye.
Originating in Sydney back in 1975, Sabra Projects is a third-generation cabinet making business, which has been transforming

This kitchen was designed to maintain the existing country feel of the home. With respect to the stunning pitched ceilings
with exposed timber beams, the kitchen complements the aesthetic without outshining the stunning features of the home.
The result is a contemporary farmhouse kitchen that suits the rural location, while infusing a modern touch.
With a large open space to work with, iCab Cabinets added a wall to enclose the hidden walk-in pantry and re-orientate the
kitchen to make the most of the northern light flooding in from the glass doors. The otherwise unused space is transformed
into a spacious pantry that hides the fridge and food storage so that the main kitchen can remain aesthetically beautiful.
The joinery displays stripped-back shaker style doors painted in matte white two-pack, which takes advance of the abundance
of natural light to give the space an open, inviting feel. The rangehood is discreetly hidden behind matching cabinetry, which
allows the rustic beauty of the SMEG Victoria freestanding cooker to shine. On either side of the rangehood two mullion
cabinets proudly display the homeowners curated kitchen items and add personality to the space.

More than 40 years of combined experience has certainly shone through in this elegant Melbourne Renovations kitchen. The
light-filled space has been cleverly brightened by the use of crisp, clean whites on the benchtops and cabinetry. Modern yet
timeless handles have been installed for peak functionality while still adding style. This kitchen is an exquisite cornerstone
to the modern Australian home.
Family-friendly and spacious, the vast amount of storage allows for these homeowners to cater to any number of guests they
may host in this lively space. Ample room beneath the expansive bench provides the option for added seating, making the
kitchen a versatile centrepiece within the home.
The insightful addition of a deep black splashback above the sink adds a sense of depth to the space; catching the eye and
modernising the look without compromising the brightness achieved by the cabinetry. This similarly ties in with the sleek
black appliances such as the oven and fridge, creating cohesion throughout the room.

WELCOME HOME
COSY NOSTALGIA IN A SPACIOUS MODERN KITCHEN
Andrew Mann Joinery has had the pleasure of producing this custom, country style kitchen within a coastal town of Victoria.
The innate brightness of the space is welcoming and lively, and the classical styling works cohesively with the joinery items
to produce a homely feel, being a key objective of the owner.
The combination of the bold blue, clean whites and high ceilings has created a luxurious space, generous in both size and
functionality. The centrepiece and focal point of the space is without question the bold blue island bench. With ample space
to prepare food and extra room for seating, this design works tremendously to cater for the owners’ every need.
Despite its grandeur, Andrew Mann Joinery has managed to make this kitchen feel like the perfect ‘welcome home’. The
classic choice of shaker-style cabinetry and the colour scheme, allows the homeowners to have a perfect combination of a
classical but modern space.
With a passion for restoring heritage homes, Andrew Mann Joinery has certainly taken this home’s rich history into account
with the creation of the new kitchen. The kitchen has been a seamless addition to the house, and the original framework of
the ceilings, the kitchen effortlessly flows into the new space.
Despite the beautiful traditional touches on this kitchen, its function is nothing short of modern. The use of vibrant whites
and the striking blue of the island gives the room a polished and refined look, echoing the desires of the modern Australian
homeowner.
Andrew’s wife Christine, is also involved within the business, primarily attending to the day-to-day administration. In addition,
Andrew and Christine’s son, Jayden has followed in his father’s footsteps, spending much of his upbringing around timber,

This charmingly opulent kitchen is the result of the combined effort between Nuveau Kitchens and the homeowner. Showcasing
exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail in its design and construction, the space effortlessly accommodates the
homeowner’s everyday needs as well as their ability to entertain family and friends.
Although the kitchen is quite large, the clever design enables people to congregate without it feeling cramped. The generous
island bench, for example, provides seating along one side and plenty of room on the other for easy, free-flowing movement
between the two cooking zones. Additional bench space and overhead cabinets run along the far wall, offering a wealth of
convenience and functionality while leaving ample space in the central area for gatherings.
At its core, the kitchen’s design is luxurious French provincial, evident in the white shaker-style and mullion cabinet doors,
ornate rangehood and farmhouse sink. Subtle yet effective details bolster this aesthetic, from the simple herringbone tile
splashback to the double ILVE ovens and integrated appliances.

Leading off of the kitchen is the spacious butler’s pantry, designed with matching finishes to the kitchen itself. Open shelving
provides storage for kitchenware, food and small appliances, helping to reduce clutter in the main area.
Starting from humble beginnings in 1983, Nuveau Kitchens has since grown to be a well-established company in the industry,
with a large team of expert tradespeople who employ the latest in computerised technology and state-of-the-art machinery
to deliver fantastic kitchen designs. The professional project managers personally handle each project, no matter their size,
from small vanities to large commercial sites.
With its own two-pack paint workshop, Nuveau Kitchens is able to deliver the highest quality two-pack and EMPORITE
finishes for your kitchen or bathroom. This is one of many reasons the company has found success over the years, leading
it to win a number of awards including the Victoria Homes Magazine – Kitchen of the Year and Subcontractor of the Year
awards.
Bright, spacious and inviting, this remarkable interior is the result of Professional Joinery’s clever planning and detailed
communication and collaboration with the homeowner. The team worked closely with the homeowner to both actualise their
vision for a French provincial kitchen, and create interior joinery that celebrated the beauty of their Hampton’s style home.
For the kitchen, Professional Joinery cleverly implemented a white colour palette that serves to not only make the space
feel homely and welcoming, but the subtlety of the shades allows the intricate patterns of the custom timber moulding and
skirting to shine. The satin finish on the two-pack cabinetry reflects just enough light to enliven the space without creating
a harsh glare, and this is perfectly complemented by the soft grains of the white marble benchtop from SK Pietra Natural
Stone. The use of a simple shaker profile on the doors and drawers pays homage to a modern Hampton’s aesthetic, while
the Belling freestanding oven, farmhouse sink, and the cup-pull Touch Handles by Dorset add a rustic warmth to the room.
The attention to detail in this space is simply unbelievable, with custom-made panelling and specifically designed cabinets to
both accommodate the unique rangehood and maximise the storage potential. This high level of workmanship is continued
in the butler’s pantry, which is very practically designed for ease of preparation and to promote tidiness.

from T&M Cabinetry and Liefting Merlo Homes is the embodiment of a dream interior. Featuring stunning Corian surfaces
from Newgrove Benchtops, the spacious kitchen hosts a stylish asymmetrical island bench, with one side of its gorgeous

greys and vibrant whites, creating visual interest without interfering with the aesthetic. Black bar stools and appliances add
a definition that frames the space, while the copper-coloured tapware and sink offer a glamourous finishing touch.
In the dining area, a sleek wine fridge and drinks station has been neatly tucked into the wall, boasting the same delightful
woodgrain joinery and marble bench surface as the kitchen. This trend continues into both the laundry and study area, with
the former boasting seafoam ‘Kit-Kat’ tiles and the same sophisticated copper fixtures.
The main bathroom is teaming with contemporary opulence, hosting a freestanding bathtub and a double vanity. The cool
stony tones of the walls and floor are perfectly balanced by the warm timber and matching copper taps, while the white

LAPEGE
Lapege is proud to stock Imola’s distinguished new collection ‘The Room’, which features stunning, quality ceramic marble
tiles that are sure to impress. The ‘Grey Roots’ tile (left) is one of these eye-catching options – an appealing marble
characterised by its gorgeous gold and cream ripples. A sense of depth is created as these patterns contrast the white to
grey shades of the tile. This unique and tantalising design captivates the eye and has a sense of intrigue and class.
Rare and remarkable, the ‘Gris Breche Dumas’ tile (centre) is one for the ages. Modelled off the pebble of the same name,
this tile is cleverly designed with levels of contrast between the varying shades of white and grey. This pebble is scarce and
rarely found, as quarries of it are nearly empty and ‘Gris Breche Dumas’ celebrates this wonderous stone by recreating its
unique patterns on ceramic tile.
‘Onyx Aqua Blue Gold’ (top right) is a sight to behold, a tile with gorgeous gold detailing that swims in a sea of breathtaking
blue. The base of this tile is sedimentary limestone, which gets this stunning colour from spring water and infiltration. The
standout feature of this tile is the shiny, transparent effect that it gets on the surface. This is an extremely rare feature that
adds a level of exclusivity to this breathtaking tile.
Refined and modern, ‘Onyx White Absolute’ (bottom right) showcases the potential for a natural colour to be a statement
piece. The origins of limestone onyx date back to the Egyptian era, when this gorgeous marble was used to build temples.
With layered whites from ivory to vanilla, this stunning tile is characterised by its intense shine, adding a sense of luxury to
any room it covers.
Sourcing the finest materials from across the globe, Lapege ensures it supplies nothing but the highest quality products
that embrace the latest trends in the tiling industry. The company specialises in high-end glass mosaics, stone, ceramic, and
porcelain tiles that suit all types of interior and exterior areas. With more than 20 years of knowledge and experience, Lapege
takes pride in offering its clientele expert advice.
The staff use their detailed knowledge of the ceramics industry to coordinate the best layouts, colours, and styles for any
project. In 2017, Lapege relocated from Fitzroy to its new address in Collingwood. Drop into the showroom today to view this
stunning new collection ‘The Room’, along with other stunning tile and stone products.

SLEEK SURFACES
CUSTOMMADE BENCHTOPS
This sleek, contemporary space from T&M Cabinetry and Liefting Merlo Homes is the perfect setting for the stunning ‘Rain
Cloud’ Corian benchtops. Supplied by Newgrove Benchtops, this magnificent product is made from two parts natural minerals
and one part acrylic resin – no quartz or silica – and its versatility, stain resistance, hygienic, easy-repair non-porous surface,
and ability to form near invisible joins make Corian Solid Surface an enduring choice for any working surface. The home’s
builder, Liefting Merlo Homes, envisioned smooth curved panels and edges for the grand island bench, which Newgrove
Benchtops easily achieved through thermoforming; a process that involves heating Corian sheets to 180 degrees Celsius and
then placing them into a mould to achieve the shape and form your heart desires.
With more than 35 years in business, Newgrove Benchtops specialises in suppling a vast range of high-quality bespoke
benchtops, ensuring that your new surface is not only on trend but also made with the newest technology. If you’re in need
of a working surface in your home – whether it be in your bathroom, kitchen, laundry or even your alfresco dining area –
Newgrove Benchtops has the experience and the dedication to tailor a solution for your exact vision.
Recognised as one of the key suppliers to the Independent Cabinet Makers Association (ICM), you can feel confident that
the design and construction of your Newgrove benchtop has been handled by industry-qualified professionals. Owner
Sean Blood and his team of more than 20 expert tradespeople craft all orders at the company’s own purpose-built site in
Breakwater, keeping a keen eye on the quality of your new benchtop.
Specialising in laminate and solid surface, Newgrove Benchtops ensures that its customers can choose from the best
products available on the market; the newest designs in the best quality. Your Newgrove benchtop will be set to withstand
the environments of wherever it is required in your home, while still boasting a clean, stylish finish that complements your
intended aesthetic.
Servicing the suburbs and surrounds of Geelong, Ballarat, the Surf Coast, Warrnambool, Colac, and Werribee, Newgrove
Benchtops has a fostered a strong and trusting relationship with its community. The company’s reputation as a hard-working
team who delivers results has allowed the company to prosper with longevity. Though Newgrove Benchtops started out
in the mid-80s as a cabinetry manufacturer, the team transitioned into a more focused niche when they noticed a lack of
benchtop suppliers in their region. Deciding to take hold of this gap in the market, Newgrove Benchtops found success in
providing the south-west with high-grade, bespoke benchtops to anyone, from local families to large commercial businesses.
The Newgrove Benchtops’ showroom is located conveniently in Breakwater, where you can see examples of its finest
products on display. The team are also always happy to receive calls with any questions you have in the process of finding
your perfect bench solution. Further images of the company’s work and details about its services are readily available on
the Newgrove Benchtops’ website.
