    Listing Process

    MAKE SURE THE PRODUCT IS SUPPORTED BY APPLE HOME KIT BEFORE STARTING THE LISTING PROCESS.

    ONCE ALL THE REQUIRED INFORMATION ABOUT A PRODUCT IS COLLECTED, ENTER THE SAME IN THE Product Dataset EXCEL
    SHEET PROVIDED BEFORE DOING THE LISTING.

    SOURCE OF EACH DATA POINT NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THE SHEET PROVIDED.

    Title: Combine the brand name with the product name given in the product list. Make required modifications so that the Title always conveys the
    complete idea about what the product is. Can include the variant, product category, bundle details etc. in the title. One line.

    Description: Create a description for the product. Multi-line. Include all relevant keywords for the product so that it SEO is also taken care of. (Ma
    x. 320 characters)

    Use the same field in three places:

    1. Description

    2. Description (meta field)

    3. ‘Meta description' in 'Search engine listing’ section.


    Media: Add 4-5 high quality images. It should have white background with enough white margins on all four sides. Make sure the product is
    centre aligned. Images on manufacturer website should be given preference.

    Pricing: Prices should be in Indian Rupee. If the price is not in Indian Rupee, convert in to Indian Rupee. Ignore decimal places.
    Tick ‘Charge tax on this product’.
    Leave ‘Compare-at Price’ empty
    Leave ‘Cost per item’ empty

    Inventory:

    Uncheck 'Track quantity'


    Check 'This product has a SKU or barcode'. Use the SKU Code provided in the product list excel as the SKU Code.
    Leave ‘Barcode’ empty.

    Shipping: All are physical products.

    Physical product
    ‘Shipping weight’ can be left empty.
    Variants: Add variants if any. Colour, material, etc.

    Search engine listing:

    Page title: Use the Product ‘Title’ as the ‘Page title’. Cut short if it’s too long to be seen on the title bar of the web browser.
    Meta description: Reuse product ‘Description’. (Max. 320 characters)
    URL Handle: Must include brand name, product name and variant name if any. Words in the URL should be separated by hyphen.
    Metafields: ALL META FIELDS SHOULD BE ADDED (IMPORTANT)

    Description: reuse the product description that was already made.


    One liner: A one liner for the product that conveys what the product is, it’s use or an important feature of the product.

    Manufacturer Info: Include


    SKU code on manufacturer website
    Warranty information
    Technical information about the product
    Product requirements etc.
    Tech Specs:
    Weight
    Length
    Height
    Width
    Depth
    Power source
    Compatibility
    Connectivity
    Other Features etc.
    In the box: Units with quantity
    Equipments
    Adapters
    Guides etc.
    Highlights:
    Should be as bullet points.
    4-5 relevant and important points about the product, the ones highlighted on the manufacturer website.
    Overview: An overview of the product. More elaborate than product description.
    Video URL: Link to any video demonstrating the product use.
    Features: Ignore for now.
    Brand: Select the brand from the drop down.
    Compatibility: THE TRICKIEST PART. Add the list of Apple devices compatible with the product. If this information is not available directly,
    look for the OSes supported by the product (or its software) and list all the devices with the supported OS as a compatible device. Say for
    example, if a product (or its software) requires iOS 12 and above, get the list of all apple devices which has iOS 12 or later and add them to
    the compatible devices list of the product.
    Watch compatibility: Choose the list of Apple watches supported by the device.
    iPhone compatibility: Choose the list of iPhones supported by the device.
    iPad compatibility: Choose the list of iPads supported by the device.
    HomePod compatibility: Choose the list of HomePods supported by the device.
    Product Organisation:

    Product Category: Leave empty


    Product type: Use ‘Product Type’ mentioned in the products list excel sheet.
    Vendor: ihabitat
