UNDERGOING BSc ENGINEERING COURSE UNDER

TECHNICAL CADET SCHEME

1. KNOW ALL MEN BY THOSE PRESENT THAT WE trainee

_____________________________ (hereinafter called the trainee) and sureties
_____________________ and ____________________ (hereinafter called the
sureties) do hereby bind ourselves and each of us and heirs, executors and
administrators to pay on demand to the President of Pakistan (hereinafter called the
President) all the training charges as laid down in the Army Instruction 4 of 1984 as
amended from time to time and the sum as indicated in Phase-l, II and III below if the
trainee, after having been selected as cadet is admitted into or pursues studies at any
Military Engineering College/University in Pakistan or undergoes training at PMA and
as commissioned officer resigns subject to its acceptance by the President, while he is
under study in a Military Engineering College/University in Pakistan or is under training
at PMA or after being appointed as an officer in the Corps of Engineers, Signals or
Electrical and Mechanical Engineering during his first thirteen years of commissioned
service :-

PHASE-I
FROM THE DATE OF JOINING THE SCHEME UNTIL THE TIME OF OBTAINING
DEGREE FROM ENGINEERING COLLEGES/UNIVERSITY

a. Rs.2,00,000.00(Rupees - If resigns and his resignation is accepted

two lac only) by the Government during the first twelve
months of his study in any technical college
as cadet.

b. Rs.4,00,000.00(Rupees - If resigns and his resignation is accepted

four lac only) by the Government during the 13th to 24th
months of his study in any technical college
as cadet.

c. Rs.6,00,000.00(Rupees - If resigns and his resignation is accepted

six lac only) by the Government during the 25th to 36th
months of his study in any technical college as
cadet.
d. Rs.8,00,000.00(Rupees - If resigns and his resignation is accepted
eight lac only) by the Government during 37th to 48th months of
his study in any technical college as cadet.

Note. A cadet at Military College of Engineering, Military College of Sigs, College of

E&ME or College of Aeronautical Engineering, spending more than 48 months due to
relegation/failure and allowed to continue studies will pay Rs. 10,00,000.00 (Rupees
ten lac only), If resigns and his resignation is accepted by the Government.

PHASE-11 WHILE UNDER TRAINING AT PMA

e. Rs.10,00,000.00 (Rupees - If resigns and his resignation is accepted

FROM THE TIME OF GETTING COMMISSION UNTIL COMPLETION OF THIRTEEN

three lac forty six thousand Government within eleventh year of his
and one hundred fifty only) appointment as an officer.

r. Rs.2,30,765.00 (Rupees - If resigns and his resignation is accepted by the

two lac thirty thousand and Government within twelfth year of his
seven hundred sixty five only) appointment as an officer.

s. Rs. 1,15,380.00 (Rupees - If resigns and his resignation is accepted by the

one lac fifteen thousand and Government within thirteenth year of his
three hundred eighty only) appointment as an officer.
2. During studies if expelled by the college or discharged by the Army on disciplinary
grounds or deliberately fails and does not do well in the studies, he will lose his seat in
the college and would not be allowed to continue studies as a Defence Nominee in any
college. This will be in addition to the disciplinary action that might be taken against
him in accordance with the Pakistan Army Act, 1952.

3. If he willfully creates conditions for withdrawal on disciplinary grounds and after

withdrawal applies for marks sheet, NOC, certificate of attendance and Engineering
Degree (where applicable) etc, the same shall be issued to him on payment of training
charges and bond money as stated in para 1 above.

4. Engineering Degree. The engineering degree, earned by the successful cadets after
completion of degree course at the college will be handed over by the cadet to his
CO/OC concerned who will forward it to respective Dte for safe custody.

5. Whereas the President has nominated the aforementioned cadet for a course of BSc
Engineering at the college or on Pakistan Government stipend on his entering into a
bond with two sureties with a view to his subsequently serving as an officer in the
Pakistan Army.

6. Now the conditions of the above written bond are that if the trainee:-
a. Faithfully and truly conforms to and obey the instructions given to him by or
on behalf of the President from time to time and all times in Pakistan
Military Academy or during his study for the BSc Engineering Degree
course.
b. Earns good reports regarding his studies, conduct and behaviour during the
laid down duration of training or beyond, depending upon the length
of the course, to obtain Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Telecommunication
Engineering Degree.
c. After passing the BSc Engineering Degree examination, join PMA for one
year military training when ordered to do so by a competent authority and
then serves as commissioned officer for a minimum period of thirteen (13)
years in the Pakistan Army then the above written bond shall be void and of
no effect; otherwise the same shall remain in full force and virtue.
