Interviewer : Welcome, im (y/n), the Human Resource Manager. Thankyou so much for coming here
today and congratulations for making it to the interview, it's a pleasure to meet you!
Interviewee: the pleasure is all mine, thankyou for inviting me.
Interviewer: you're very welcomed! so let's get started shall we? why don't you tell me a little bit
about yourself?
Interviewee: sure! i'm a fresh graduate, i just got my bachelor degree from the university of brigton
this summer in graphic design, which I graduated as a cumlaude with a GPA of 3.7. There, i joined
the student council and get both nominated and elected as the student council president. I got my
experience in graphic design mostly through my internship. I interned at an agency here in town, and I
was able to work with various graphic designers, and art directors. at first, I started slow, I was
assigned to help them in projects, and later on I got my own project that I have to work on. It was a
really exciting experience, I learned a lot, I enjoyed all the process and most importantly I am able to
get the image of working as a graphic designer and with that im really looking forward in being a real
graphic designer and working in your company.
Interviewer: (nodding) Hm, that’s nice and I can see you got a quite high GPA there, 3.7, not a lot of
people could achieve that GPA. Well, im sure you’re very smart. We can use a smart graphic designer
in our company, will be a very useful asset. I’ve looked to your cv too, and it is quite strong, very
good. Now let’s talk about your strengths and weaknesess, shall we? Let’s start with your strength,
what are your strengths?
Interviewee: Well, im a very hardworking person, I always do and give my best to everything that I
do; im ambitious, I always chase opportunities that I see, I try my best in order to achieve my goal;
time management is also a thing which I strongly believe I do quite well; Im good at both working
individual and in teams. im also creative and up to date with the latest trend and styles which I believe
is a very relevant strength to have when you work in designing world. Im also good with technology, I
easily adapt with technology development and I can operate several designing softwares.
Interview: sounds good, I really admire your confidence. im sure your strengths can be really useful to
the team and the company. Now, let me her about your weaknesses.
Interviewers: Sure my weakness is sometimes i find it really difficult in asking for help, eventhough i
really need it, i tend to rely on myself in everything i work on eventhough at some points i do need
help from other people, but i ofc realize that there are a lot of brilliant and talented people in this
company, in this team and i need to start asking for guidance or help whenever i feel unsure. my other
weakness is sometimes i tend to pay too much attention to the smallest detail, that sometimes isn't
even that relevant, and it takes me a lot of time in finsihing a project bcs of that tendecies, but in
times, I’ve learned over-fixating on making things perfect can lead to missed deadlines . I’ve been
working on improving this by taking breaks so that I have a chance to refocus on the big picture.
Interviewer: Thankyou for being honest, I really appreciate your honesty and your commitment to fix
and improve yourself about these weaknesses that you have. Im sure in times you will be able to work
out on those weaknesses. Now tell me, why do you choose graphic designing as your career?
Interviewee: well, i have always had a liking towards art and design since I was a child. I found
myself really good at it too. Graphic Designer career basically resonated with my creative passion and
allowed me to showcase my talent, plus it makes my interest a profession and lets me create
impressive designs that impact people. And who doesn’t want to do what they enjoy and get an
income from it, right? With a bachelors degree in graphic design, graphic designer seems to be the
perfect job for me.
Interviewer: Nice, interesting answers. You seem really firm with your decision. Now tell me, why
are you interested in this position in this company particularly?
Interviewee: Well, i have always been a big follower of your brand and I feel aligned with your
company images and values. I also think in this role, my skills could be useful in your company. I see
an opportunity here in your company for me to learn and improve my skills and ability in graphic
designing. I think with being in this role in your company, we both would benefit each other
personally, professionally, and financially.
Interviewer: Alright, and I really want to know, why do you think we should hire you? What makes
you different from the other candidates?
Interviewee: Umm I would say, I am truly passionate about the job, I am not doing it just for the
money or the income but I am doing it because it’s my passion, and the income is just like a bonus for
me. I also believe that I posses all the skills that you are looking for and I believe my skills would
specifically fit with your company. I also notice that project management is a major skill that we
must have in designing world. I do really well in project management, leadership and teamwork as
well, proved by my experience in being the president of the student councill when I was in college.
What separate me from the other candidates is I can combine my project management skill with my
people skill, creating a perfect combination of a perfect project management. Beside of that, Im a
quick learner and I also do quite fast in adapting to a new environment, therefore my small experience
wouldn’t be a hitch.
Interviewer: Such an interesting answer, nice. Now, for the last question, do u have any question that
you would like to ask to me?
Interviewee: Yes, I would like to know what can I do in this role to help you to achieve your vision?
Interviewer: That is such a great question to ask. Thanks for your question. Well, This company
vision is mainly focused on supplying the business market in the region as well as in the world with
our design solutions that would grow together the firm and our clients’ success. Well I guess the best
you can do in your role to help us in achieving our vision is through improving yourself to the better
including improving your skills and abilities that is required in your role, being truthful and honest,
make a good commit to your role and be disciplined. I think those all are the few very basic things as
well as the best things you can do to help us in achieving our vision. Is there anything else you would
like to ask?
