* The post of Engineering Assistant (Telecom & Instrumentation) as mentioned in Sl No 1 is reserved for PWD candidates in OH category of hunchback / deformity of chest with minimum 40 % disability. This is the third attempt to fill the above reserved PWD post as in the first two attempts; names of eligible PWD candidates meeting the prescribed nature of disability i.e. Hunchback / deformity of chest with minimum 40 % disability were not received. Age as on 01.10.2011: For the post at Sl-1: Between 18 and 36 years. For the post at Sl-2: Between 18 and 26 years.

However, minimum 55% of marks requirement may be relaxed if sufficient number of applications are not received. 3 years Full Time Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Chemical / Automobile / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Radio Communication / Instrumentation & Control / Instrumentation & Process control Engineering from a Govt. recognized Institute with minimum 55% marks. EXPERIENCE
PAY & PERKS In addition to the Basic Pay, D.A., HRA, and other benefits like Provident Fund, Gratuity, LTC/LFA, liberalized medical benefits, productivity / performance linked incentive, leave encashment, superannuation benefits, Post Retirement Medical Attendance benefits etc. shall also be admissible as per the rules of the Corporation. APPLICATION FEE: Application Fee (non-refundable) of Rs.100/-(Rupees One Hundred only) through crossed Demand Draft in favour of INDIAN OIL CORPORATION LIMITED.- PIPELINES DIVISION payable at State Bank of India, Unsani Branch, Howrah (Branch Code: 2134) should be enclosed along with application form. Any other mode of payment is not acceptable and application not accompanying the application fee will be rejected without any further reference to the applicant. CONCESSION & RELAXATION: 1. The upper age limit of 36 years shown above for the post at Sl-1 is inclusive of upper age relaxation of 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates as the post is reserved for them. The upper age is further relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates. 2. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. 3. SC/ST candidates called for test/interview will be reimbursed single 2nd class railway fare limited to rail fare from the nearest railway station of the mailing address to the place of test/interview and back by the shortest route, on production of bus ticket/rail ticket provided the distance is not less than 30 kms. each side. 4. Minimum percentage of marks requirement (55%) may be relaxed at the discretion of the management in the event of sufficient number of eligible PWD candidates with minimum 55% marks are not available. SELECTION METHODOLOGY: The selection methodology will comprise Written Test followed by Trade test and Personal Interview of successful candidates from Written Test. The candidates will have to pass through each stage including medical fitness successfully for being adjudged as suitable for selection. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Candidates are advised to carefully read the full advertisement for details of eligibility criteria before submission of application. 2. Service is transferable to anywhere in India. 3. Candidates employed in Government/Semi government/Public Sector Organization must send their application through proper channel or produce No Objection Certificate at the time of appearing in the Test/Interview. In case the candidate fails to do so, his/her candidature will not be considered. 4. SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against un-reserved posts shall be considered under general standards and no relaxation in age, qualification marks etc. shall be extended to them. 5. Candidates should apply in the prescribed format only (Download Application Form) along with application fee, attested copies of mark sheets, educational qualification certificates, caste certificate (for SC / ST candidates), Disability Certificate (for PWD Candidates) and a recent passport size coloured photograph affixed on the application form. 6. Incomplete applications or applications received after the last date will not be considered. 7. SC/ST/PWD candidates should submit their caste/disability Certificate (for PWD- minimum disability 40% in the category of hunchback / deformity of chest) issued by Competent Authority in the prescribed format along with the application form, in support of their claim to avail relaxation/concession. 8. Application of a candidate having higher qualification than the prescribed qualification shall be rejected. 9. The candidates will have the option to appear for test/interview either in Hindi or English. 10. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidature. 11. A candidate should apply for one discipline only. Candidates appearing in more than one discipline will not be considered. 12. The vacancies mentioned above are likely vacancies which may increase or decrease. 13. The Application fee of Rs. 100/- is non-refundable
14. Management reserves the right to fix/increase the minimum percentage of cut-off marks in the prescribed qualification for calling the candidates for test/interview. 15. The decision of the Management in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the application, mode of selection etc. will be final and no enquiry will be entertained in this regard.
