Installation Guide
TCM Reflash (PCCS) v3.00 uses a different database program than TCM Reflash (PCCS) v2.50.
This guide will illustrate the different steps and dialog boxes that will appear during the installation of
TCM Reflash (PCCS) v3.00 on a PC that was not previously programmed with v2.50. This guide will also
show the steps and dialog boxes that will appear during the uninstallation process on PCs that have
been using TCM Reflash v2.50 up to now. PCs that have never had TCM Reflash (PCCS) installed will
have much faster install.
Please Note: If you have difficulty with the install, please call Noregon Systems for assistance
PCs that do not have TCM Reflash (PCCS) v2.50 currently installed:
PostgrSQL 9.1
TCM Reflash (PCCS) v3.00
Uninstall SQL Server 2008 (this is lengthy and may require user interaction)
Uninstall TCM Reflash v2.50
Install PostgrSQL 9.1
Install TCM Reflash (PCCS) v3.00
During the SQL Server 2008 uninstall, all previously downloaded calibrations are removed and
some user interaction may be required. Users should not change any defaults or make any
selections other than selecting the ‘Next’ or ‘OK’ buttons or ‘CLOSE’ at the end. Never select
‘Cancel’ without first contacting Noregon. Until a step is complete, the ‘Next’ button will be
grayed out and not enabled for selection.
1) Save the program (TRFInstall30.exe) someplace on your local computer. The executable file will
need to be extracted (unzipped) if it is zipped.
2) Start the program from wherever it was saved; you may need to confirm security questions
posed by UAC, security programs, etc. When the WinZip screen appears, click on the Yes
button.
3) Hit the “OK” button when the initial dialog is displayed
4) Accept the default location or enter the directory of choice for the temporary installation files,
and press the “Extract” button. To run the program automatically after the extraction, leave the
“Run ‘setup.exe’ after extraction” box checked.
5) The extraction will take a few moments. Once the extraction is complete, clear out the status
message.
NOTE: this status dialog box might appear behind the extraction dialog box. If this
happens, please select the status dialog box or move the main extraction dialog box so it
can be seen.
6) If the “Run ‘setup.exe’ after extraction” box is checked, the installation program should start.
7) If .NET 4.0 is not already installed on the machine, this Microsoft product will be installed.
Otherwise, the installer will skip to the next step.
If the PC was programmed with v2.50, the uninstall process begin now.
8) After clicking “OK” in the “Uninstalling Old Version” dialog box, the following screens will appear
as the process continues.

9) After clicking the “OK” button in the “SQL Server 2008 Setup / Setup Support Rules” dialog box,
the following will appear.
19) Once the install is underway, the program files will be copied
20) During the installation, the PostgreSQL database engine will be installed. This database engine
is necessary for the program to run. The PostgreSQL installation may take a few minutes.
21) Once the installation is complete, the installer will inform the user. The program is now ready
for use.
22) Check the box in front of “View the readme.txt file” and click “Finish” and Notepad will open
with the ReadMe file.
