Based on the analysis of the data collected and presented in Chapter 5, it can be concluded
that the hypothesis was supported. The results showed a significant relationship between
the independent variable and dependent variable, indicating that there is a strong
correlation between them.

Furthermore, the findings suggest that the intervention had a positive impact on the
participants' behavior and attitudes towards the subject matter. The statistical analysis
revealed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores, indicating that
the intervention was effective in achieving its objectives.

However, it is important to note that there were some limitations to the study. For
example, the sample size was relatively small, which may limit the generalizability of the
findings. Additionally, there may have been some bias in the data collection process, as
participants were self-selected and may have had pre-existing attitudes towards the subject
matter.

Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the effectiveness of interventions aimed at
changing behavior and attitudes towards a particular topic. Further research with larger
sample sizes and more rigorous methodologies could help to build upon these findings.

Conclusion
This chapter provides an in-depth discussion of risks affecting healthcare workers and their
distribution within the hospitals. The discussion provided a comprehensive understanding of
factors which causes risks affecting healthcare workers at Driefontein Sanatorium hospital
and Muvonde hospital. Work shifts were also indicated as a factor which expose healthcare
workers to risks. Results also shows effects of ergonomic, chemical, biological, physical and
psychosocial risks identified at Driefontein Sanatorium hospital and Muvonde hospital.
Discussion also indicated the level of risks affecting healthcare workers at the hospitals. Most
of the risks were considered to be at the medium level. Relationship between the probed
factors and level of risks affecting healthcare workers is also indicated in the discussion.
Measures used to manage risks and their effectives is also indicated in this chapter. Level of
knowledge healthcare workers have on methods used to manage risks and other methods
which raised by healthcare workers as suitable for managing risks were considered during the
discussion. A comprehensive discussion of the proposed process-based model for effective
work safety analysis was done to show its applicability and other scholars which support
methods adopted by the model.
