ZUBA Alexandre-Georges
When I look at this course, I see that it centers around a lot of my interests. I believe that this
project aligns with my goals because my passion and attachment to mathematics and logical
thinking will be enhanced and emphasized through this program.
Most importantly, this course takes problems out of the paper and into real-life problems and
situations, fortifying the connection with the world around us and future job ideas with its
lessons.
I am sure that this programme can provide me with a valuable set of skills that can help me
succeed not only in my career but also in my personal life. Economics will equip me with the
tools to solve complex problems and understand relationships between different variables.
I consider that this course can help me better understand how the economy and markets work,
which can be beneficial for understanding current events and making sense of the world around
me. I expect to create close bonds with the students and teacher and hopefully create a close
community. Completing a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and international affairs can open up
a variety of job opportunities thanks to its business approach and to the broad areas that economy
opens.
Econometrics is a new subject I am keen to learn more about, as it combines economic theory,
mathematical modeling, and statistical analysis.
Setting goals is challenging, especially in this fast-changing world. Three years from now, a lot
of things will be different, especially me. Although, there are some things that I know for sure:
mainly, I want to continue my studies and apply for a master's program in order to specialize in
the international field.
Thanks to the international nature of economy, I hope to find a job that can suit my passion of
being free to work all across the globe, while getting to experience and observe as many cultures
and civilizations.
I had the chance to grow up in two different countries: France, the place where I was born and
lived until I was 9, and Romania, the country where I've been living for the past 10 years.
This duality opened in me a passion for discovering the world and as many international
students. I've always been sociable and even when all my familiar surroundings had disappeared,
I had no trouble adjusting to a new country. So, after ten years of growth, I am sure it will ease
my transition to university.
Personally, I bring the unique perspective of being the big brother of 5 siblings. This experience
taught me how to teach and take care of others, a trait showed even by one of my high school
colleague when I used to teach him math lessons after school.
Specifically, I intend to participate in class discussions: This is a great way to learn from others,
and build relationships. I am also looking forward to getting involved in extracurricular
activities: joining clubs or organizations that align with my interests, helping me get to know my
colleagues better, develop my skills, and be part of the great community of "ACADEMIA DE
STUDII ECONOMICE DIN BUCURESTI"
