Title of Innovation:
DASIG SYSTEM
Digital Access to School-forms In a Grasp System

OVERVIEW:
The Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission of Higher
Education (CHEd) decided to do online and blended learning classes,
which proved to be challenging. Fortunately, educators and educational
resource providers collaborated to explore innovative and creative lesson
delivery models to ensure that learning never stops.
DepEd has been implementing best practices, programs, trainings,
webinars and seminars for the teachers and stakeholders to provide
solutions to challenges and resolve issues and concerns relevant to the
educational system and the welfare of the stakeholders. Primarily, this is
to adapt to the changes under the New Normal setting in facilitating the
teaching and learning process.
Yet, there are still factors affecting the smooth flow of the
educational process on this challenging year. One thing is the
accomplishment of the learner’s school forms on the top of all the duties
and responsibilities of the teachers, which is their main but silent
struggle. Despite of all the tasks to do, the teachers are trying to comply
in time allotted. In relation to this, the school believes that if all the
clerical tasks are doable for teachers while implementing the modular
instruction, it would increase their engagement and enhance their
performance in raising the level of quality teaching.
With the continuous challenges of teachers in accomplishing numerous
tasks, we crafted a system to address this concern of the teachers who are
selflessly devoting themselves in their profession to improve student learning
and development. Teachers have been vocal how challenging it is to manage
and accomplish all the teachers’ tasks given to them in allotted time like
preparing, printing and distributing modular learning resources, addressing
learner’s and parents’ concerns, monitoring the progress of the learner,
providing instructional support, and doing other related task like submitting
ancillary reports, securing learning forms, attending webinars/seminars,
faculty meetings and others. Creating projects or innovations that will reduce
the workload of the teachers will pave the way for other approaches towards
teachers’ development and growth.
Under DASIG System, in just one utilization of Excel, several forms are
accomplished like School Form 1, School Form 5, Learners’ Progress
Monitoring or card and consolidated copy of grades in a grasp! Surely, it is
dasig or fast that is of great assistance to minimize the workload of teachers.
The teachers will be educated on the navigation and function of the tool and
with their active participation and confidence, digital access to school forms in a
grasp will be fruitful. Hopefully, this initiative will result to dynamic, happy and
passionate teachers.

Innovation Description:
DASIG System is structured as digital integrated space for
inputting data on schoolforms, to respond effectively to the need of the
teachers and stakeholders in making, submitting and preparing the
learners’ school forms in the midst of modular learning. In this initiative,
the school has seen positive opportunity to improve the method in
preparing the school forms that promote smooth and efficient process
among the teachers. With this new approach in accessing the learner’s
school forms in just one utilization, teachers have enough time to prepare
learning resources, submit other required activities and perform other
tasks like their individual ancillaries within the schedules and time
frames.
Una sa tanan, BATA.. Buligan Amligan Tudluan Alalayan, as what
the Department of Education mantra goes. Generally, we aimed to sustain
the delivery of equality, accessible, relevant and liberating Philippine
basic education services anchored on the Sulong EduKalidad framework,
to support our learners right to education. To ensure the delivery of
quality instruction, it is significant to produce efficient teachers. How
could a teacher be efficient and effective in carrying out her tasks when
she is bombarded with loads of work that are oftentimes hard to manage?
In this crisis, the school see the importance of valuing the teacher’s
wellness to be more productive in delivering quality service. The project
represents fast, innovative, creative and reliable tool as a teacher’s aide to
promote physically and mentally fit educators.

Innovation Statement:
The DASIG System aims to reduce the workload of the teachers in
preparing and accomplishing the learners’ school forms through a fast,
reliable and digital method.
This innovation aims to:
1. Accomplish various school forms like School Form 1, School Form 5,
Learners’ Progress Monitoring or card and consolidated copy of
grades through utilizing one Excel app.

2. Providing digital support to aid teachers in their difficulty of preparing

required school forms of the learners to help them carry out tasks
significant under the new normal

3. Increase the teachers’ engagement in school-related undertakings,

producing productive, efficient and functional teachers.

Sustainability Plan
This project is considered to be attainable because the resources
needed like bondpaper and ink are already on hand, as well as the Excel
app that is installed by default on teacher’s computers.
To ensure sustainability, teachers need to be consistent in
utilizing the app whenever asked to submit a school form. Incase, there
will be technical issues or having a hard time accessing the tool, the
teacher needs to consult the innovator for immediate response. There
will also be a monthly monitoring and evaluation as how effective the
system is. Finally, there is a prerequisite of checking of school forms at
the end of the school year to assess the validity and reliability of the
used system.
With the cooperation and commitment of the school head, teachers
and all the school’s stakeholders, this undertaking is believed to be
possible.
