Outputs are low voltage, suitable for digital inputs of a V3F drive.
The output polarity on terminals JP1.1 – 6 can be modified from positive common wire to negative common
wire by inserting opto-isolators in a proper base:
• Next to JP1 connector for outputs with negative common wire, which give a negative signal to V3F
inputs of speed selection.
• Behind the JP1 connector for outputs with positive common wire, giving a positive signal to V3F
inputs of speed selection.

The JP29 connector at the centre of the card (crimped cable) is prearranged for the connection of the
expansion cables mounted above the base card Q500420.
The JP17 connector (crimped cable) is prearranged for the connection of the remote keyboard (Q500435).

MICRO-SWITCHES
1. SW3 Microswitches
MICROSWITCHES
• OFF: standard operation
• ON: software download
PR The software download is carried out at the plant by means of a PC programme.
It can be necessary for the user to repeat it in exceptional cases where there is the need to
update the application software on the card.
• OFF: watch-dog-timer disabled
• ON: watch-dog-timer enabled
WD The watch-dog-timer (WDT) carries out an external check on the proper operation of the
micro-controller by emitting a short reset signal to put the micro-controller back to operation.
This occurs only if the stopping condition was not caused by a failure, otherwise the
stopping is final.
During the programming the WDT must be disabled otherwise it would cause various reset
operations preventing the execution of the programming.
The WDT must be enabled only when the card is in standard operation condition.
• OFF: CAN terminator not connected
• ON: CAN terminator connected
CAN The CAN serial line must be “terminated” at the two ends by a 120 resistance (one at each
end).
As the CAN connection is used for outer cards and it is impossible to know how it will be
done, the two resistances of “termination” shall be connected only to the two cards at the
ends of the CAN connection.

[ - - / - - : T a s . E N T ]
Enables the management of
Reduced floors with length less than standard (need of intermediate speed) and with slowing magnets
withing the intermediate floor. The system adopted for the management of reduced floors is to position the
slowing magnets at the distance for the travel at rated speed.
When travelling along the single reduced floor, the passing at slow speed is carried out with a programmable
delay for each reduced floor.
• Low floors, with slowing magnets outside the intermediate level
By pressing the ENTER button, the 00 floor flashes and the intermediate floor type is displayed:
6 0 2 . P i a n i R i d o t t
[ 0 0 / 0 1 : N o r m a l e ]
In order to view the various intermediate floors, the Å (it increases the value) and Æ (it decreases the value)
buttons are used.
Once displayed the selected selected intermediate floor, confirm by pressing ENTER. It starts flashing
automatically the intermediate floor type, i.e. “Normale”. By using Å and Æ keys, modify the intermediate
floor type or the delay time in seconds (0.03-2,5).
To confirm the change, hold for about 2 sec. the ENTER key pressed down until the flashing stops and the
intermediate level is again modifiable. ESC (once or twice) to quit the program.

3. SW1 micro-switches
MICRO-SWITCHES
X Not used
• OFF: CAN terminal not connected
• ON: CAN terminal connected
CAN The CAN serial line must be “terminated” at the two ends with a 120 resistance (one for
(Position 2) each end). 60 Ohm between CANH and CANL shall be measured.
Because the CAN connection is used for outer cards and it is impossible to foresee the way
it will be made, the two termination resistances shall be connected only on the two cards at
the CAN connection ends
• OFF: watch-dog-timer deactivated
• ON: watch-dog-timer activated

WD The watch-dog-timer (WDT) carries out an outer check of the proper operation of the micro-
(Position 3) switch by generating a short reset signal to recover the micro-switch to operating conditions
only if the lock status did not occur due to a failure, otherwise the lock status is final.
During programming stage, the WD must be de-activated otherwise it would act with several
resetting making the programming impossible.
The WDT must be activated only when the card is in standard operation condition.
• OFF: standard operation
