during The background of Cleopatra:

Cleopatra was born in 70 B.C. and was the daughter of Ptolemy XII (Auletes), a descendant of Ptolemy I soter,
one of alexander the greats generals and was the founder of the Ptolemaic line in Egypt. Since Cleopatra was a
descendent of Ptolemy I soter that made her of Macedonian Greek ancestry, although she was an Egyptian
pharaoh.

Career of Cleopatra:

Cleopatra was a pharaoh and the last pharaoh of ancient Egypt. She built up the Egyptian economy establishing
trade with many Arab nations and was popular among the people for embracing ancient Egyptian culture, she
was also the first pharaoh in 300 years to speak Egyptian her family spoke only Greek, so court documents
were written in Egyptian as well as Greek. Although she did all that she wasn’t the best ruler as she lost her
kingdom once; regained it; nearly lost it again; amassed an empire; lost it all.

How Cleopatra died:

Cleopatras death was an act of suicide. She killed herself by allowing a poisonous cobra to bite her.
Committing suicide allowed her to avoid the humiliation of being paraded as a prisoner in a Roman
triumph celebrating the miliary victories of Octavian, who would become Romes first emperor in 27 BC
and be known as Augustus. After that Egypt became a part of the Roman empire (625 BC-AD 476).

Legacy of cleopatra :

Why is Cleopatra so well-known? Cleopatra was the queen of Egypt from 51 to 30 BCE, and this time,
she actively influenced Roman politics. She is particularly remembered for her friendships with Mark
Antony and Julius Caesar. She eventually came to serve as the archetype for the romantic femme
fatale, unlike any other ancient woman. The advancement of science and medicine was encouraged
by Cleopatra. During the Roman occupation, she also made contributions to The Great Library of
Alexandria, which was ultimately destroyed after Cleopatra passed away. Texts written in Arabic
mention her contributions as a scientist and a scholar.

Fun facts:

 She married two of her brothers.

 She had a hand in the deaths of three of her siblings.
 She claimed to be the Egyptian goddess, Isis.
 She was Greek although she was an Egyptian Pharaoh.
 She spoke nine languages.
 She introduced leap years and days.
 She was eighteen when she became queen.
 She was twenty-one when she fell in love with Julius caser who was fifty-two at the time.

Was cleopatra a good person or a bad one:

This question is opinionated, but I personally don’t think that she was a good person because of the
fact she did terrible things like killing several people and family members to solidify her power, having
several relationships at once, committing incest, using her beauty to seduce people and committing
suicide. Although others say she was intelligent, charismatic and used both qualities to further Egypt’s
political arms.

Which dynasty did Cleopatra belong to:

King Ptolemy XII Auletes' daughter Cleopatra was destined to be the final monarch of the Macedonian dynasty,
which ruled Egypt from the time Alexander the Great died in 323 BCE until Rome annexed it in 30 BCE. Ptolemy,
a general under Alexander who later rose to become king Ptolemy I Soter, had established the line.

Why did ancient Egypt collapse under the rule of Cleopatra:

Egypt experienced its last breaths of greatness under Cleopatras rule, before collapsing under the roman
empire. This was all due to the fact that Cleopatra turned a blind eye to the Romans because of her love for
Julius Caser (which was one of the main reasons in the decline of ancient Egypt) When Cleopatra heard that
the romans were going to invade Egypt, she committed suicide and with no ruler to lead Ancient Egypt the
civilization came crumbling down.

For how long did Cleopatra rule:

Cleopatra ruled Egypt for twenty-one years. She started her reign in 515 B.C. upon the apparently natural death
of Auletes (her father).Eighteen year old Cleopatra was next in line for the throne but in order to inherit it she
had to marry her brother, Ptolemy XII (who was ten at the time).
