Statement of Purpose

Introduction: In today's dynamic and competitive business environment, Sustainable business

management plays critical roles and is seen as vital foundations for building successful and long-lasting
enterprises. They influence strategic decision-making in the areas of effective resource utilization,
innovation and adaptation, risk management, job creation and economic growth, improved productivity
and competitiveness, customer-centric approach, market expansion and globalization, financial stability
and sustainability, corporate social responsibility, intrapreneurship and employee engagement, and
embracing technological advancements. I, Rumkie Barua born and brought up in Bangladesh. From an
early age, I was empowered with excellent communication skills, relationship-building, critical & creative
thinking, and problem-solving skills. With the growing concern about sustainable business Management
methods in today’s business world, I decided to do my Masters in Sustainable Business Management
and kick start my professional career as a marketer in this globalized era.
I completed my Secondary and Higher Secondary from science grounding in 2012 and 2014,
respectively. After my schooling, I began my Bachelor in Economics degree at National University,
Bangladesh. National University has laid an excellent foundation in Micro & Macro Economics,
Mathematics & Mathematical economics, statistics, Business, International Economics, Economic
Development, Urban & Rural Economics, Finance, Banking, planning, Economic thought and Economics
planning. This learning exposure has facilitated me to start my professional career with Dekko Garments
limited as a Business Development Executive and I, served for almost three and half years in sales,
Marketing, Merchandising, support and execute in business planning as per their organizational need.
While working I realized that, today’s business world and management are facing rapid changes with the
contemporary business issues and most of the business organizations are failing to cope up with
sustainable business model and Management, I also perceived I lack different analytical and problem
Solving skills, which is a major barrier for my professional progression. Therefore, I decided to study
Masters of Sustainable business Management with Satakunta University of Applied Science with an aim
of gaining specialized knowledge, skills and adeptness in exploring sustainable business Management in
diverse Business Entity.

Study Motive:

There are several reasons to pick in studying Masters of Sustainable Business Management with
Satakunta University of Applied Science (SAMK). The global corporate climate places a premium on
innovative ways of thinking about strategy that include concerns of sustainability, innovative company
models, good networking abilities, and leadership capabilities. The abilities required for strategic
management and the development of company operations may be developed via the Sustainable
company Management program. The emphasis is on strategic thinking, particularly with regard to issues
of sustainability and operations in international business. Additionally, the program encourages the
formation of international connections between higher education and the working world. The program's
advanced professional studies focus on topics such as leadership and organizational development,
concerns of sustainability in contemporary enterprises, and the creation of creative firms.
Moreover, by studying Sustainable Business Management, I can develop skills like broadening skill set,
entrepreneurial aspirations, career advancement, networking opportunities, interdisciplinary approach,
access to resources and support, powerful combination of analytical and business skills, making
graduates well-prepared to excel in various business environments, pursue entrepreneurial ventures, or
take on leadership roles within established organization. In addition,
earning a Master's degree in Sustainable Business Management takes a major time commitment and
hard work, both of which will contribute to my personal development and sense of
accomplishment. The problemsolving, communication, and leadership abilities that I will acquire
are in great demand in the corporate world and I am certain that, Masters of Sustainable Business
Management degree will accomplish my future dream of working as a head of sales or Business
development in Multi-National Company or in Ready Made Garments Industry.

Career Outcome:
Upon Completing Masters of Sustainable Business Management with Satakunta University of Applied
Science provide a well-rounded business education that will equips me for success in established firms
or entrepreneurial initiatives in future. I will gain Improved Business Knowledge in finance, marketing,
operations, human resources, and strategy. In addition, I will embellish with Leadership and
Management Skills which are vital in dealing with organizational difficulties, and strategic decision-
making. Furthermore, networking is another addition in my portfolio because Business schools draw
students and teachers from other fields. This fosters networking between students, alumni, and industry
professionals. These relationships will benefit me in my careers, collaborations, and information
exchange. Moreover, while studying sustainable Business Management, I can access different Resources
like attending business incubators, mentorship programs, and industry events, These tools may help me
to create, improve, and earn experience, which will provide invaluable experience job opportunities and
earnings and also improve my adaptability, negotiation and project management skills.

to pursue my Master's degree because I will have the rare chance to excel academically, make lifelong
friends, and broaden my global perspective.

There are several reasons I have chosen SAMK because of its Practical and Applied Learning, Wide Range
of English-Taught Programs, Industry Collaboration, Modern Facilities and Infrastructure, International

Opportunities and also its ranking since SAMK ranks in top five in providing Higher Education in Finland.

Future Goal:

The population of Bangladesh is close to 180 million people, and the nation is still in the process of
development. We are one of the top countries in exporting ready-made garment items, and practically
all of our population enjoys the benefits of having access to electricity, which fosters the growth of both
sustainable industry and successful commercial enterprises. My goal is to return to Bangladesh after
completing my Master of Sustainable Business Management degree at Satakunta University of Applied
Science so that I may participate in the current development initiatives that are taking place in that
country. My long-term goal is to work in the ready-made garments industry as a business development
manager and later on be the Head of business development manager for a multinational company such
as Denim, Unilever, Annanta Group. Where I can put to use the information and experience, I've gained
during my academic and professional careers.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, I am highly motivated in pursuing my Master's degree in Sustainable business

Management and the prospect it will bring to my career by studying at Satakunta University of Applied
Science. I am confident that the program's rigorous curriculum, outstanding faculty, hands on learning
and research opportunities will provide me with the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill my
academic and career goals of contributing significantly to the field of sustainable business management.
