According to the Chinese Zodiac, twelve animals are designed in accordance with their
arrival times divided into 12-time periods. Mouse is matched with shu (the beginning
of the day) which takes place between 11 PM and 1 AM when mice come out of hiding
to find food. 2020 is the Year of the Golden Mouse, which is believed by Chinese to be
the best among other types of the Mouse years. In accordance with the characteristics
of a mouse, people who were born this year tend to be clever, brave, charismatic,
sincere, charming, social, quick-witted, and ambitious. They are likely to be wealthy in
their later years of life, have a lot of friends and live a virtuous life. However, their
weaknesses are their sense of individuality, stubbornness, anxiety, recklessness and

Details : Beloved Pets
Pets are like family members, growing together with our children. Raising animals is a way to instill in children a love animals, gentleness, generosity,
loving kindness, self-appreciation and discipline. The following animals are some of the most popular pets.
Dogs are our loyal friends. Playing with them and touching their furs make children happy. Spending time with dogs also helps children develop their
immunity system better than those children glowing up in a house with no pets. But if they are allegic to animal furs, it is better to adopt other kinds of
animals.
Cats are our fluffy friends. Children are always happy when touching their silky, fluffy furs and make movements using small muscles while touching
their four-legged friend gently. Moreover, spending time when a cat helps children develop a better ummunity system against allergies, much like
spending time with a dog.
Fish are our little round-eyed friends. Looking at them swimminng here and there makes us cheerful and it is more enjoyable if we see theese little
friends rais their heads to bite the food we have sprinkled. It is so exciting that we cannot stop feeding them.
Birds are our sweet-voiced friends. Their singing and flying movements make children enjoyable. It is even more fun if they can imitate human voices so
our children never feel bored to watch them talk.

Details: 80th Anniversary of General Post Office Building
King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) ordered the establishment of the "Post and Telegraph Department" which operated with stability and achieved steady growth.
In 1927 the General Post Office was built and the old building of the British Consulate on Charoen Krung road was used.
Later in 1935, a new building was constructed under supervision of Sarot Sukkhayang (Chief of Architecture Unit, Fine Arts Department) as the architect,
Mew Aphaiwong as the architect assistant and H. Hermann as the German engineer. After the construction was completed, the opening ceremony was held
on June 24, 1940. The General Post Office Building is constructed un a clean rectangular shape in the style of modern architecture with a combination of
Neoclassicism and Functionalism. The structure of this 4-storey and T-shaped building with one underground floor is made of reinforced concrete. An exposed
aggregate finish is used as the building's exterior wall with brick textures. This building is divided into three parts, which are the head, the middle and the tail
of T-shaped building, with a big front porch in the center of the building decorated with stucco in the shape of Garuda. The sculptor who designed the simple-
designed stucco decorations of the building was none other than Professor Silpa Bhirasri. The General Post Office functioned as the gateway of Thailand
communication system from 1940 to 1985. It provided postal services including mail receiving, sorting and shipping. Apart from that, it also functioned as
the operating station of many other telecommunication services in the past. The building area is divided into central telegraph office, a radio
telecommunication office, a radio service center, a satellite broadcasting center, a Telex center, an international phone service office and a 24-hour contact
center providing international phone service. There was also a public hall, in which international letter writing weeks were held every year and exhibitions
about postal services were arranged for the public. The General Post Office was renovated by the Thailand Post Co., Ltd. in 2012 and completed in the
following year. Today, the General Post Office has been standing the test of time for 80 years and has become a learning center where people come to learn
and relive the past through this historic national heritage.

Details: Festival of Floral Offerings, Only One in the World
The festival of floral offerings is an important tradition that Saraburi people have carried on for a long time. People believe that the act of making floral offerings
has considerable merits. According to Buddhist legend, Sumon Malakarn was responsible for collecting jasmine flowers for Bimbisara, the King of Rajgir. One
day, while he was picking jasmine flowers, he saw Lord Buddha who was going on alms, leading to his sudden complete faith in the Buddha. Thus, he decided
to use his jasmine flowers as an offering to Lord Buddha and prayed that everything King Bimbisara had given him was only to survive in this world, but floral
offerings can make virtue both in this world and in the next one. When King Bimbisara knew what had happened, he was so satisfied that he gave a huge reward
to Sumon Malakarn. The day of floral offerings is usually on the waning day of the 8th month of every year which is the day of Buddhist Lent. Buddhists normally
collect flowers of globba winitii a plant with trunks like that of lesser gingers or turmerics that yields yellow, white and purple flowers during Lent days-from the
hillside and make on offering to the monks who visit Phra Mondop at Wat Phra Phutthabat to perform religious rituals so that those monks can use their flowers
to worship the chedi that houses Lord Buddha's relics. This is considered an act of merit that will benefit the givers. Moreover, while the monks are stepping
down from Phra Mondop, people will bring clean water to wash the monk's feet since the y believe that the water will become the purification that will wash
their sins.
