Introduction:
The globalization of education and the increasingly interconnected nature of the global job
market have led to a significant rise in the number of students moving abroad for both education
and employment opportunities. This group discussion aims to delve into the underlying reasons
driving this trend and its implications.
Discussion Points:
Quality of Education:
Many students choose to pursue their education abroad due to the perceived higher quality of
education in certain countries.
Prestigious universities and colleges, along with specialized programs not available in their home
countries, attract students seeking a competitive edge in their careers.
Career Opportunities:
Certain countries offer better employment prospects and career advancement opportunities in
specific industries.
While discussing, we came across points such as due to this gender
equality campaign, many women-associated health care issues
were exposed, and women were provided with necessary aid.
Viswa, Nithin, and Selvakumar pointed out that in local transport,
seats are
reserved for women, but no such convenience is given to men. In
some states,
women are allowed free transport, but men, the elderly, and students
still have to
pay the full fare. They also discussed that companies today, in the
name of gender
equality, give preference to unqualified women candidates over
guilty until
proven innocent and that women are always the victims in any
mishap.
Mustafa commented on why women are given preference for safety
during
emergencies while men are left to suffer, if we claim that men and
women are
equal.
In the end, we all concluded that we need to stop the weaponization
of this gender
equality campaign and work towards the benefit of all members of
society,
regardless of their gender being male, female, or transgender.
