Miss Bollock’s 2nd Grade Math Class
Rules and Regulations
Below are a few guidelines to explain how our classroom will work and what will be
expected of all students. Parents, please read over the following.
Grading Policy
A+ 100-95
A 94-90
B+ 89-85
B 84-80
C 79-70
D 60-65
F 64 or below
Grades will be made up of the following:

 10% Attendance
 15% Class Participation
o Graded based on participation during class discussions, group work,
and participation during activities.
 15% In-Class worksheets and assignments
 15% Homework
 20% Quizzes
 25% Tests

Assignments and Technology
 We will use Google Classroom and Chromebooks in this class.
 All assignments, including in-class worksheets and daily homework, will be
posted at the beginning of each week for access.
 If your child is out sick, please look at the assignments and material we
covered that day.
 2 Paper copies of in-class worksheets and homework will be given out - if
your child loses the physical copies, please print out another one from our
Google Classroom.
Technology Rules:
Since we will be using technology, please read the rules below and explain to your
child why it is important to follow them. We have also reviewed this in class.
 Chromebooks in the classroom are only to be used to access assignments,
videos, or interactive programs that relate to the lesson that day. All links
will be provided by the teacher.
 If a student is caught on an unrelated website, they will be asked to close it
and open the assignment they are supposed to have open.
 If a student is caught 2 times, they will be asked to close their Chromebook
and just watch on the projector and will receive a zero for the assignment.
 I have a NO phone rule during class. If I see a phone, the student will be
asked to put it away. If I see it multiple times, the student will receive a
zero for class participation for the day and an email will be sent explaining
why they received the zero for the day. Parents in case of an emergency,
please contact the main office directly.
Extra Credit
 I hold a study group 2 times a week. Once a week, during lunch and once a
week after school. This is completely voluntary.
 I will offer 3 extra points on that week’s quiz for any students who attends
a study session.
 On the week of a test, I will give 5 points to any student that attends.
 Please note students are only able to receive a max of 3 extra points on a
quiz week and 5 extra points on a test week, even if the student attends
multiple sessions.

Late or Missing Assignments
 I will accept late homework assignments for up to 3 days after the
assignments are due for 50% credit.
 If a student is out sick, the student will have the same number of days they
were out to return the homework it to me. For example, if a student is out
for 1 day, they will return it to me the day after they return for full credit.
If they are out for 3 days, they have 3 days after the day they return to
turn it in.
 If a student is absent on the day of a test or quiz, they must make it up
within 3 days after returning either during lunch or after school with me.
General Rules
 Take care of the technology and materials provided.
 Always try your best!
 Be kind to yourself and others.
 Always be a good listener and work quietly to not disturb others.
 Take all emergency drills seriously so we are prepared.
Communication
 All grades will be posted on Google Classroom and the school portal which will
be updated each week.
 If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me by
email. Expect a reply within 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours on weekends.

Miss Bollock’s Classroom Contract
Parents, please initial each statement, sign below, and have your child sign their
name stating you both read and understand the rules listed above. There is a
section you can fill out if you think there is something specific, I should know
about your child. Please also leave an email address so I can add you to our Google
Classroom! Please send the signed contract back with your student before the end
of the first week of school. Thank you and I am excited for the great year ahead
of us!
