ABSTRACT
The most of the people having ration card to buy the material from the ration shops. To buy material they need
to submit their ration card and distributer will put the sign in the ration card depending on the material. Then
they will issue the material through weighting system with help of human. Weight of the material may being
accurate due to human mistakes. If material not buy the materials at the end of the month, they will sale to
others without any intimation to the government and customers. We have proposed an automatic ration
materials distribution based on fingerprint and face recognition techniques.

general identification of the customer and holds the user’s personal information and purchase history. On
successful purchase, the details of purchase are entered in the card and in the purchase register at the
employee’s side. This is the system which is exists at the ration stores now. This framework has a ton of
disadvantages. The ration card ought to be reestablished each year by sticking extra leaves in a similar card. A

The proposed [5] system creates the transparency in public distribution system because the paintings turns
into automated. In this system, ration Materials (sugar, rice, oil, kerosene, etc) dispensed thru automated
mechanism with none assist of humans. With the assist of this system, it's miles feasible to make public
distribution system green and unfastened from malpractices. After receiving the substances, controller sends
the statistics to authorities’ workplace and purchaser thru GSM generation.
Ration card plays [6] a crucial position for the family information which include to get gas connection, member

replaced through a Face Recognition system. This Faces might be tested with own circle of relatives

OBJECTIVES

 To use two level security for system:- fingerprint based and face recognition
 To train Image Dataset using Convolutional Neural Network ( CNN )
 The government database is updated immediately after every transaction made by the consumer.

The E- ration Distribution system uses Face Recognition and finger print verification. This system successfully
eliminates the errors due to manual monitoring of ration data as all the data is automatically updated in the
database. Also this system will enable the government to keep track of the consumers and their transactions.

Although the system will reduce the security issues and malpractices present in the current PDS To access the
database and authentication of user requires internet connectivity
 The system is design in web development using php and python in back end.
 Rpi and other devices are been used , Rpi acts as a main controller in proposed system
 First we collect all the images of people as identity and those are been trained using Face Recognition
techniques
 Camera captures the face and image processing is been performed on captured face if match is found the
next step is allowed or else the system exits and error message passed.
 Fingerprint sensor is also added as 2nd security to the system so that the system is strongly build and no
fraud occurs.
 The ration is also distributed in two ways such as if allocated ration available its free and if not free then it
also check Account balance of sufficient then and only then it has been processed otherwise passed the
message insufficient balanced.

human efforts for operation and is likewise very steady. By imposing this system authorities can maintain or
keep track of all of the added / delivered ration content material very easily.
