General description
The TMA is an uplink low-noise amplifier mounted close to the antenna. Receiver signal amplification compensates for uplink loss in the feeder cable between antenna and RBS to be overcome and hence increase the sensitivity of the BTS. Further, since the TMA in general has a low noise figure the sensitivity is further improved.
