Carrier
Suspension
System
Overview
• Struts have 6 positions for proximity switches (6300 and 6400 use different positions)
• Pressure limit for suspension cylinder is 32t (bug in 6400 software will allow 42t)
• Pressure difference of more than 5t between strut groups will deactivate carrier ECOS
Unlock Suspension button (Try to even out pressure via the HMI boxes)
• If total suspension weight is more then 84t, suspension also will not unlock
• Early version cranes with separate valves cannot be updated with latest software.
Since the suspension is drained of oil on the rod side of the suspension cylinder, the
system must be charged by the accumulators before unlocking of the suspension is
available.
Once ECOS sees a pressure increase on the piston or after approximately 30 seconds of
charge, the unlock suspension will be available.
