I. TITLE : Embracing Diversity: Honoring the Celebration of
United Nations and Indigenous Peoples
DATE : October 25, 2023
VENUE : Dumalneg National High School –Science Building
II. RATIONALE
As we are witnessing the culmination of the pandemic in the
Philippines and are beginning to break the walls of social distance in
favor of a closer social interaction, as we are about to start the march
in a more liberal social and educational setting, we have another
opportunity to power harmony, respect and affection to our diversed
ethnic and cultural practices in view of pursuing nationwide pursuit
of progress. It is therefore timely, to revitalize our cultural
commitment as an institution into another harmonizing occasion as
we renew our allegiance to one another from micro to macro scale with
the hope to enjoy a more intense reciprocating effects of love and
respect to every individual, tribe, color and nationality.
Therefore, charity and others that follow start from respect to one’s
culture to respect to other countries.

The Indigenous Peoples and United Nations Month Celebration will
produce students who are aware of the rights of ICCs/IPs and will
respect each other regardless of social upbringing and ethnic background
that will result to harmonious environment. The students as well, will
realize the importance of the customs and traditions of the Isneg Tribe
and will prefer to protect and take pride of their cultural ancestry.
Through the program, the students will understand the significance of
United Nations in promoting unity among nations throughout the world.
Therefore, making the celebration a catalyst in creating individuals who
are considerate to cultural differences, sociable and defender of cultural
roots which will lead to growth and development of the school and the
community as a whole.

VII. PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES
General Guideline:
Contestants cannot join two
or more contests.
Guidelines:
1. Each grade level perform
a talent (singing, dancing,
acting, etc.) attributing to
the culture of the different
countries belonging to the
United Nations.
2. There shall only one act
for each grade level. With
equal number of students in
different sections forming
part to that act.
3. A maximum of 6
members for a group.
4. The minimum length or
time duration for the act is
two minutes with a
maximum of four minutes.
5. Failure to comply may
cause a grave deduction to
the scores of the act.
A. Production Number.
Guidelines:
1. The contest is open to all
grade levels.
2. Each grade level must
only have one team
comprising of at least 10
members in minimum and
15 in maximum.
3. The production number
shall only be conducted for
at least 1 minute to 1 and a
half minute. Any extension
or delay shall constitute
deduction to the scores.
4. No production number
means disqualification of
grade level’s candidate for
the MR. and MS. IPEd.
Guidelines:
1. There shall only 1 male
and 1 female candidates for
each grade level.
2. The contest is available to
both non-IP and IP members
of the municipality.
3. Each pair must possess
the culture of the
municipality from head to
toe, inside and outside.
