    It’s all about me…

    My name is Jessa Pearl Abatayo, 13 years old, I live in Baybay, Liloy, Zamboanga
    Del Norte. I have for siblings and I ‘am the youngest of them. I will be enrolling myself this
    June as a grade 8 student in Liloy National High School. I’am so excited! Because I ‘am going to
    see my friends again and learn new knowledge.
    Jovita Abatayo is the name of my mother she worked as an all-day housewife and my
    father’s name is Isaias Abatayo a hard working fisherman.
    Despite of everyday struggle I study hard and helps my parents. I’ am friendly,
    lovable, patient, and happy person. My mother is strict yet understanding. My ambition in life
    is to become a police woman because I want to protect my family and my neighborhood on the
    harmful elements that contributes crime in our surroundings. Although I ‘am not born with a
    golden spoon in my mouth but my family gave me more than that. They gave me the time,
    love, support and non-material things that majority of the wealthy family cannot give to their
    children because of their busy schedule. That’s why I study hard because I want to finish my
    studies and will graduate with flying colors so that my parents would be so proud of me in
    that manner at least we can uplift our situation. I’ am so grateful for our almighty God because
    they gave me such a wonderful parents and family, a parents that is very supportive and
    caring.
    It is my mother whom I love the most. If Not because of her wouldn’t know how
    to love. Because my father is masungit but he is generous. I can say that we are a happy family,
    we laugh, we joke, we bond, and we eat together most of the time. But I don’t want to become
    my brother and sisters, my sister didn’t finish her studies and got pregnant that why she
    worked abroad to sustain the needs of her children. My brother is also studying but he uses
    his time most often to her girlfriend. That’s why I don’t want to be like them but despite of our
    imperfections I still love my kuya and ate because they are one of reason and inspiration why
    I study hard and live my life as if I can change our situation. But I can. Someday..
