1895 Marchese Guglielmo Marconi discovered ground-wave
radio signals.
1898 Marchese Guglielmo Marconi established the first radio
link between England and France.

1900 Reginald Fessenden transmitted the first human speech


through radio waves.
1901 Reginald Fessenden transmitted the world’s first radio
broadcast using continuous waves.
Marchese Guglielmo Marconi transmitted telegraphic radio
messages from Cornwall, England to Newfoundland.
First successful transatlantic transmission of radio signals.
1903 Valdemar Poulsen patented an arc transmission that
generates continuous wave transmission of a 100-kHz
signal that is receivable 150 miles away.
