SCOPE
The project encompasses the installation of routers and switches, as well as the configuration of
network settings. The network will be limited to the specified rooms Internet Cafe, Living Room,
Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2, Dining Room, and Kitchen. Also, we expected to limit our users
especially in internet café area that to connect through internet to stabilize the internet
connection and for security aspects. While the house has also own internet connection for
resident only that restrict from internet café area users.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project aims to have an internet access throughout the building, the building has 8 rooms,
the 2 rooms the internet café and bedrooms have an important that refer to internet access,
while the living room also need an internet connection for the smart tv and other devices.
The technologies to be used is:
• Use of a dual-band router for 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands for comprehensive coverage.
• Installation of managed network switches for stable.
• Use of high-quality Cat 6 Ethernet cables for fast data transfer and minimal interference.
• Consideration of wireless extenders for comprehensive coverage in weak connectivity areas.
One of the first steps in configuring your Internet Cafe software is a setup of the
computers, consoles, and network devices that will be controlled. Antamedia Internet Cafe
Server, Antamedia Internet Cafe is a Windows based client / server application that secures
public Internet computers. Begin by opening the server application. On a fresh install, click the
Login button without entering a password. Navigate to Setup, then Network, and finally Network
again. Here, you will find a default list of four clients; remove any that are irrelevant. Next,
specify the maximum number of computers according to your license limitations in the provided
field. If the Client application is already installed on other computers, use the Connect client’s
button to automatically collect and insert their IP addresses.
To create your own Wi-Fi network, you'll need a wireless router. This is the device that
will broadcast the Wi-Fi signal from your Internet modem throughout your house. Your Internet
service provider (ISP) may offer you a wireless router for a small monthly fee. If you've never set
up a Wi-Fi network before, this may be the easiest option.
Once you have acquired a wireless router, you'll need to connect it to your existing
Internet modem. Connect an Ethernet cable from your modem to the wireless router (there is
usually a short Ethernet cable included with your wireless router for this purpose). Plug in the
power cable for the wireless router. Wait at least 30 to 60 seconds, and make sure the lights on
your router are working correctly.
Next, you will need to use your computer to configure your router's default settings. This
includes setting a unique name and password for your wireless network. Using your web
browser, enter the router's default IP address into the address bar, then press Enter. Your
router's instructions should include this information, but some of the most common addresses
include 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, and 192.168.2.1. The router's sign-in page will appear. Again,
the exact sign-in details should be included with your router's instructions, but most routers use
a standard username and password combination, such as admin and password. Your router's
settings page will appear. Locate and select the Network Name setting, then enter a unique
network name. Locate and select the Network Password setting and choose an Encryption
option. There are several types of encryptions you can use, but we recommend WPA2, which is
generally considered to be the most secure. Enter your desired password. Make sure to use a
strong password to help ensure no one else can access your network. Locate and select the
Save button to save your settings.
To set up a Wi-Fi network, connect the access point to your computer using an Ethernet
cable. Access the Configuration Interface by entering the default IP address and username and
password. Set a unique network name and password, and configure network settings like IP
address, DHCP settings, and wireless channel. Adjust transmit power, QoS settings, and
firewall settings if needed. Save and reboot the settings, then test the connection by
disconnecting the Ethernet cable and connecting using the configured SSID and password. If
necessary, update firmware to ensure the latest features and security patches.
TIMELINE
We analyze the building how big or small so we can have an idea in distance that can
reach the Wi-Fi, also we analyze all rooms of the building that how can affect the internet
stability and we focus the four room, First the Internet Café this section have many computers
that’s why we need switch in this room, The two room have each computers that connect
through router, lastly the living room that need internet connection that have smart tv and other
devices.
