The meaning of the word Brexit refers
to the exit of the United Kingdom from
the European Union and derives from
the collapse of two English words:
Britain, "Great Britain", and exit, "exit".
The term has now entered the
language of common use and in the
last three years it has inevitably
become a synonym of profound
uncertainty. The meaning of Brexit,
WHAT IS however, is not only technical: as
anticipated, in fact, the exit of the
BREXIT United Kingdom from the EU will have
consequences not only for the British
but for the entire world economy. The
signal launched by the people, first
with the June 2016 referendum and
then again with the December 2019
elections, called into question the
Europe project and immediately gave
new life to Eurosceptic parties.
On 23 June, citizens of Great
Britain are called to vote on the
Brexit referendum, or will have
to decide whether or not they
want to stay or leave the EU.
Citizens will have to answer the

the exit of Italy from the Euro, as a
