Procedures:
1. Assemble the setting sleeve, the plug and the tool as per
instructions
a. Tighten the Copperhead Plug setting sleeve onto the
setting tool.
b. Screw the adapter mandrel into the Copperhead Plug
firmly hand tighten
c. Guide the plug and adapter mandrel into the setting
sleeve and into the setting tool(If using the 5.5
Copperhead a setting adapator must be attached to the
setting tool before attaching the setting mandral).
Rotate clockwise until the mandrel threads are fully
engaged. It is not necessary to use a pipe wrench when
tightening the adapter mandrel and plug into the setting
tool. Firmly hand tightened is sufficient.
2. Use cautious when lifting the equipment and confirm all will
go through the surface equipment without damages
a. Note: it is recommended to drift the surface equipment
prior to running in hole
b. Note: a drift run is recommended to the setting depth if
possible
4. On depth, drop the setting ball through the string. The ball
can be pumped to bottom or not depending on deviation. The ball
is made of light material or from brass and will only free fall
inside fluid to about 60 degrees deviation, after that it will
required to be pumped
a. Note: if the ball required to be pumped, it is important
to note the total displacement and avoid pumping at more
than 1 bbl/min to land on the seat as to avoid excessive
pressure increase
5. Once the ball lands the pressure will increase in the coil
tubing
9. At the maximum pressure the bolt between the plug and the
running tool will shear, sometimes it is required to increase the
pressure slightly (up to 500 PSI)
