Dr. S. Sudhakara Reddy - Principal

A visionary and a dynamic leader, Dr S.Sudhakara Reddy, Principal, has rich teaching and industrial experience for over three
and half decades. As an administrator, he has been instrumental in acquiring accreditation status for most of the institutions
that he has worked with. He has spearheaded the transformation of the institution from an ordinary engineering college to a
‘Centre of Excellence’ to produce globally competent engineers. A distinguished scholar with lofty ideas, Dr S.Sudhakara Reddy
has played a significant role in revamping, restructuring and reorganising the systems at the previous colleges. He obtained his
B.Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Production) from Kakatiya University, Warangal, M.Tech Degree in Design and
Production Engineering (Machine Tools) from NIT, Warangal and M.B.A (Human Resource Management) from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
Open University, Hyderabad. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University Tirupati,
Andhra Pradesh. The research work related to his Ph.D was carried out at Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL)
and Advanced Research Center for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) at Hyderabad. His area of research includes
Tribology, CAD/CAM& Advanced Manufacturing Technology. He has authored four text books and published 56 technical
papers in national, international conferences and journals. He is a life member of various Professional bodies. He is fellow of
Institution of Engineers.

MREM connecting every nook and corner of twin cities. apart from TSRTC
buses, seven-seater auto rickshaws plying up to the gate of the college.
Placements
A full fledged Training & Placement Cell is established to arrange
placements and for higher studies (In India & Abroad), along with soft skills
Training & Entrepreneur development training. About 90% of the eligible
students have already been placed in various organizations such as Infosys.
Wipro, HSBC, Genpact, Oracle etc. and around 30% students have opted for
higher studies in India and Abroad, MALLA REDDY ENGINEERING COLLEGE
