21 ST Century Literature

 Content standards : the learner will be able to understand and appreciate the
element and contexts of 21st century philippine literature from the regions.
 Performance standards : The learner will bwe able to demonstrate
understanding and appreciation of 21st century Philippines literature from the
regions through:
3. A written close analysis and critical interpretation of a literacy text in terms of
form and theme with description of its context derived from research ; and
4. An adaption of a text into other creative forms using multimedia

 Competency :Compare and contrast the various 21st century literary genres and
the ones from the earlier /periods citing their elements , structures and traditions

IV. Learning Objectives


At the end of the 60-minutes lesson , the learners are expected to:
A. Identify the different types of drama
B. Appraise the characteristics between and among the different types
C. Craft a simple form of drama using one of the discussed types

 Preliminaries

 Drill
The teacher will post the word
LITERATURE on the board. After the
teacher encourages the learners to form
words using the following instructions ‘

Form a word containing only 2 vowels and 2


consonants- RATE
Form a word containing only 2 vowels and
3 consonants –TITLE
Form a word containing only 1 vowel and 3
consonants –TILT

Then, the teacher elaborates the meaning


of each word ,afterwards ,the teacher
instructs the learners to get acquainted with
the word LITERATURE as it will become a
big part of the day”s lesson .

 Review
The teacher will post words with
jumbled letters on the board and ask
the learner to forms words.
Afterwards , she then asks the
learners about their toughs on the
words based on the previous
discussion

The teacher divides the clas into groups of


their interest .the teacher then shows avideo
clip of a drama and ask the learners to do
the activity assigned in each group

Group 1 :Remake the video clip by


incorporating a joyous mood
Group2 : Remake the video clip by
incorporating a tragic mood
Group 3 :Remake the vedio clip by
incorporating imagination and fantasy
Group4 : remake the video clip by
incorporating music and action of the
modern time

5 .all groups are given five minutes to do the


activity
6. focus only on the activity assigned in your
group
7. always exhibit teamwork for fast and
accurate results
8 ask when things are not clear
