    of Section 5 of the Maharashtra Police Act (XXII of 1951), and of all
    Clause (b)
    in that behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby
    other powers enabling it
    Assistant Police Sub-
    makes the following rules further to amend the Maharashtra

    Inspector Driver, Police Head Constable Driver, Police Naik

    Driver and Police Constable Driver (Recruitment) Rules, 2019, namely:-

    1. These rules may be called the

    Inspector Driver, Police Head Constable Driver, Police Naik Driver and

    (Amendment) Rules, 2023.

    2. For rule 6 of the Maharashtra Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Driver,

    Police Head Constable Driver, Police Naik Driver and Police Constable

    referred to as "the
    Driver (Recruitment) Rules, 2019, (hereinafter

    principal Rules") in sub-rule (1), for clause (D), the following clause

    shallbe substituted, namely

    (D) Physical Qualifications.-

    3. For rule 7 of the Principal Rules, the following rule shall be substituted,

    namely
    7. Physical Test (50 marks).-

    The candidates who fulfill the physical and educational qualifications shall

    be required to appear for physical fitness test. The physical fitness test shall be

    of 50 marks as follows, namely:

    (A) Male / Transgender- Self-identified gender identity as

    Male Candidates. Marks


    (a) 1600 Meters running 30
    b) Shot put 20
    Total 50
    (B) Female/ Transgender- Self-identified gender identity
    as Female or Third Gender Candidates. Marks
    (a) 800 Meters running 30
