14 Position and transformation

1) Zainab makes a scale drawing of a garden. She uses a scale of 1cm represents 30cm.
a) On her drawing the garden is 12cm wide. How wide is the window in real life?
Give your answer in meters.
b) The garden in real life is 8.4m wide. How wide is the garden on the scale
drawing? Give your answer in centimeters.
2) Khalid makes a scale drawing of a play ground. He uses a scale of 1cm represents 25cm.
a) On his drawing the play ground is 20cm wide. How wide is the window
in real life? Give your answer in meters.
b) The play ground in real life is 12.5m wide. How wide is the play ground
on the scale drawing? Give your answer in centimeters.
