    2023 NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION

    1. Pursuant to Section 7 of Presidential Decree No. 491 (Nutrition Act of the


    Philippines) dated June 25, 1974, Nutrition Month Celebration is declared to be
    conducted every July to create awareness of the importance of good nutrition. The
    celebration is led by the National Nutrition Council (NNC), the country's highest
    policy-making body and coordinating agency on nutrition.
    This year's nutrition month theme, "HEALTHY DIET, gawing affordable FOR
    ALL". The campaign aims to raise awareness on supporting Filipinos improve access
    to affordable healthy diets to reduce malnutrition, improve security, health and
    quality life. The campaign will also help make people distinguish between nutritious
    and unhealthy food using variety of observations to make healthier eating choices.
    In support to the said celebration and to actively engage the field in proper
    nutrition and inculcate to the learners the importance of having a healthy diet and
    promote healthier eating choices, the Health and Nutrition Section shall conduct a
    Poster Making Contest among Key Stage 3 learners.

    2. Schedule of the activities are as follows:

    July 28, 2023 • Judging and announcement of winners at the
    Provincial Auditorium

    CONTEST MECHANICS

    I. Qualifications

    The contest is open to all Key Stage 3 learners from public schools in the Schools
    Division of Batangas.

    U. Submission of entries

    1. Submission of entries will be on June 28, 2023 until 3:00 in the afternoon at
    the Health and Nutrition Section.
    2. Each sub-office shall have only one (1) official entry. The participant shall fill
    up the entry form attached in this mechanics and shall be attached at the
    back of the poster to be submitted.
    3. Poster design must be original and not previously published or won in any
    contest.
    4. It must reflect the 2023 Nutrition Month theme: "Healthy Diet, Gawing
    Affordable For All".
    5. The poster must be gender-sensitive, inclusive and does not reflect any
    offensive content.
    6. It must be drawn using '/2 illustration board in portrait or landscape
    orientation.
    7. Participants may use any of the following medium: crayons, oil pastel, colored
    pencils, and colored markers.

    III. Criteria

    Creativity and Presentation: 40%


    Originality: 30%
    Relevance to the Theme: 30%

    IV. Winners

    The Provincial Health Office shall select the First, Second, and Third Place Winners.
    Prizes shall be given away to all the winners.

    The winning entries will be announced on July 28, 2023 at Provincial Auditorium
    during the Culminating Activity of the Provincial Nutrition Month Celebration.
