    As the world is becoming increasingly digital, we are openly embracing the universality of data in

    every device or technology we use. I have always been fascinated by the omnipresence of data
    reaching into our lives. I found myself mesmerized by the world of data.

    I have had a keen interest in mathematics since I was a kid. It’s while trying to find the right
    opportunity and field for myself that I was introduced to this world of Data Science and it
    immediately captured my interests. I found for myself in the field of Data Science an opportunity
    that will bring together my interests and my desire to do well in my life.

    The first step towards materialising this dream of mine was when I took up the science stream in my
    high school. A fascination for Science & Technology and keen interest in the ever-growing world of
    technology motivated me to take up engineering. I choose to major in Electrical& Electronic
    Engineering with an intense urge to delve into the challenging field. I secured good results in my
    engineering. But during my bachelor’s studies I developed a keen interest in Programming. C++ was
    the first language I learned during this time. I am really a quick learner. I became well versed in
    programming languages like C++, Java & Python before completing my graduation. This interest also
    started growing I knew that my professional endeavour had to be something related to this
    particular field. Before opting for a master’s degree, I wanted to gain prior work experience. So,
    immediately after completing graduation, I joined a start-up company as a technical author where I
    got to work with team to communicate with the clients on their needs and documented them. I was
    already placed at Tata Consultancy and Services, one of the India’s top IT companies by campus
    recruitment. I joined TCS once I got the joining letter. My tenure here has given me incredible
    exposure in working with database and my passion for the subject continues to grow stronger day
    after day.

    I find data analytics to be a subject that’s very challenging and yet hugely rewarding. I make use of
    every opportunity to learn the major languages and different techniques involved in data analytics.
    Exploring, researching, and innovating new ways of analysing data and implementing algorithms to
    expand my intellectual rigor, as well as practical skills, are other areas of intense focus for me. My
    career has taught me the importance of data and the accurate analysis of it for problem-solving,
    decision making, and solution development. I genuinely believe data analytics is the future.
    Obtaining an MTech degree in Data Science is a strategic step forward in the right direction.

    In the long-term, I see myself growing into a Data Analytics expert who is able to provide new and
    innovative solutions for tackling the innate challenges that arise from business processes. Chiefly, I
    would like to use my expertise to build efficient models with minimal to no-risk factors using
    relevant data extracted from the large source material. I have a keen social consciousness and want
    to also look at solving real-world problems that affect humans on a day-to-day basis.

    My immediate plan after the MTech degree is to pursue an opportunity as a Data Analyst with a
    strong focus on research. I’m looking to utilize the profile to enhance my knowledge and expertise in
    the subject. I hope to use the opportunity to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in the field and
    make attempts to contribute to the same. I also plan to study different algorithms in-depth and learn
    how to improve upon them and develop them further. The MTech Degree in Data Science will
    facilitate my progression and take me closer to my ultimate goal of becoming a Data Analytics
    thought leader and expert
