(a) There are several forms of dishonesty in Research and Testing. Explain all FIVE (5)

analysis. From your point of view, list FIVE (5) steps necessary for case analysis.

laws and give reason why it is most common criterion used in court.

Question 5

Environmental Concerns in Manufacturing

Emma, a chemical engineer, is employed by a manufacturing company that produces a widely


used consumer product. The company has been facing financial challenges and is looking to
cut costs to remain competitive. Emma's supervisor instructs her to alter the manufacturing
process by using a more environmentally harmful substance that is cheaper than the current,
more eco-friendly material. The supervisor emphasizes that this change is crucial for cost
reduction and maintaining profitability.

Describe the ethical issues raised in this scenario, and discuss the actions that Emma should
consider taking. Support your answers with relevant ethical principles and considerations.

Question 6

Intellectual Properties

Chris is an engineer working for a manufacturing company that specializes in designing and
producing innovative products for the automotive industry. Chris is tasked with designing a
new car engine that will be more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly than existing
models. Chris spends several months working on the engine design and creates a blueprint
that he believes will revolutionize the automotive industry.
However, Chris is also an entrepreneur and sees an opportunity to start his own company
using the engine design he created for his employer. Chris takes a copy of the blueprint and
starts his own business, marketing the engine design as his own creation. Chris's former
employer discovers the infringement and sues him for intellectual property theft.
Discuss on what ethical issues are present in this scenario, and how should Chris respond to
the issues.
