    TITLE: OPERATION OF Mild Steel (MS) WATER EVAPORATORS


    PURPOSE:
    This gives the guide line for operation of Water Evaporator in Unit III

    SCOPE:
    This procedure is followed for Service of the Water Evaporator.

    RESPONSIBILITY:
    It is responsibility of RO Operator to follow the procedure.

    REFERENCE:
    PM/0901

    ABBERVIATION:
    DEFINITION:
    PROCEDURE:
    A) Service of the MS Evaporator:
    1. Take the water from Collection tank up to overflow line of evaporator.
    2. Admit steam to the Evaporator.
    3. Evaporation will start after half an hour.
    4. Evaporate till there is no steam from vent.
    5. Close the Steam Valve.
    6. Drain the concentrated water in Sand Filer.
    7. Collect the M.L. of Sand filter back to the Collection Tank.
    8. Take water from Collection tank.
    9. After 9 to 10 batches operations, remove the sludge from sand filter.
    10. Dry the sludge and send to the secure land filling.
