Introduction

The following research work aims to reveal

physical education, sport and recreation, their importance and benefits among
them in the development and health of people. Practicing sports is not limited only
to athletes or young people, every human being can and should carry out a
sporting activity according to their needs, physical ability and tastes. Sport in
adolescents helps to cope with the aggressions of daily life and the environment
and in this way face the present and the future with a positive attitude.
Part 1

1st: What is physical education?:

Physical education is a discipline that focuses on different body movements to


perfect, control and maintain the mental and physical health of the human being.
Physical education is a mandatory activity in both primary and secondary school.

2nd: Importance of physical education for health

Physical education is important for health since staying active means keeping your
body functioning at a good level of movement. Regular exercise will improve the
functioning of your lungs and heart to more efficiently burn excess calories
ingested and keep your weight under control. Additionally, exercise will also
improve your muscle strength, increase your joint flexibility, and improve your
endurance.

On the other hand, physical activity reduces the risk of heart disease, the main
cause of death in most developed countries. It also helps reduce the risk of stroke,
colon cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Thus, regular exercise benefits all
those people who are reluctant to go to the doctor, reducing the number of visits
and helping to prevent hospitalization and the use of medications.

3°Objectives of physical education

 Movement as a means of exploration.
 Discovery and enjoyment of your motor possibilities.
 Relationship with other people.
 Resource to organize your free time.
Part 2

1st What is sport?

Sport is a regulated activity, normally of a competitive nature and that can improve
the physical condition of those who practice it, and also has properties that
differentiate it from games. It can be recreational or professional.

2nd Classification of Sports

 Athletic sports : athletics, gymnastics, weightlifting, swimming or cycling.

 Ball sports : football, baseball, rugby, basketball, handball, volleyball or


tennis.

 Combat sports : boxing, wrestling, fencing or martial arts (judo karate).


 Water or navigation sports : sailing, rowing or canoeing.

3rd Importance of Sport

The importance of sport is that it allows the person to exercise their body to keep it
at a good physical level as well as allowing them to relax, relax, not worry about
routine, release tension and, in addition, have fun. Sport has the power to help
develop physical skills.

4°Benefits of Sport
 Improved cardiovascular health.

 Reduces the risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes.

 It helps control weight.

 Reduction of blood pressure.

 Improves aerobic condition.

 Improves muscle strength and endurance.

 Improves joint flexibility and range of motion.

1st What is Recreation?

Recreation is the activity designed to take advantage of free time for physical and
mental recreation.

2nd Importance of Recreation

It is important to recognize that recreation allows us to fulfill one of the pillars of


education, which consists of learning to live with others, through experiences and
good times to develop physically, mentally and emotionally and, why not,
spiritually.

3°Types of recreation

 Passive recreation

This is a recreation that is based on little or no physical activities and more on


contemplation. This type of recreation helps to spread the mind, as a distraction
and as a way of relaxation. Some examples are looking at a landscape such as the
sunset, the stars, the sea and others.

 Active recreation

This is a type of recreation that involves physical activity, either individually or


mostly, interactively with other people. This recreation, apart from relaxing the
mind, also helps maintain physical health due to the physical exercise it entails.
 Environmental recreation

This recreation includes all types of activities that make its participants commit to
caring for the environment.

Generally, these types of activities are planned in such a way that there is
preparation and order in the process. It is verified in advance which places are with
unfavorable ecological conditions suitable for this type of event.

Among this type of recreation we find planting trees, watering plants, and collecting
garbage. There are also talks to raise awareness and other activities in the same
environmental context.

 Community Recreation

In this recreation, activities are carried out within a sector, where its inhabitants
develop integration with others. These types of activities are very important
because they bring people from the same environment closer together. It is in the
community where they live and spend most of their time, so it is good to have
harmony among everyone.

These activities are normally proposed by some organizational group within the
same community, and may include dinners, lunches, games, and so on.

 Cultural recreation
Cultural recreation is one that integrates activities that contribute to cultural
development and promote the artistic movement. Among these activities we can
find plays, movies, dancing, musical concerts and others.

 Sports recreation

This type of recreation combines sports activities that are not necessarily carried
out for competitive or professional purposes. It is a recreation of leisure, of
integration, that helps both to clear the mind and to keep the body active and in
good physical condition.

It is one of the most common recreations, within communities, schools and other
places. These activities are carried out both in open places, whether on soccer,
baseball or other sports fields. It also takes place in closed environments created
specifically for good and correct sports performance.

 Outdoor recreation

This includes activities that take place outside. It includes endless activities, some
more active than others, such as riding a bicycle, walking on the beach or simply
observing a landscape.

Work recreation
It is a type of recreation that is carried out within companies, as a way to relieve
stress from their employees. Every day it is gaining strength, as more and more
companies are adopting this type of activities.

They can be carried out within the same organization during free hours, or outside
of it, either with trips and other outings. Just as stress decreases, worker
productivity increases.

 Pedagogical recreation

This includes a set of activities that allow not only training but also the development
of skills and abilities of the participants. This type of recreation is carried out
anywhere, having more importance for educational institutions, with greater
emphasis on the little ones.

 Therapeutic recreation

This is a recreation that combines activities that aim to restore people's physical or
mental health. They can be activity programs that include movements such as pool
exercises or a group talk.

 Tourist recreation
This type of recreation includes activities directly related to the tourism sector.
Tourists normally go in search of relaxation and having a good time, which is why
there is always a variety of options for recreation.

One of the activities that is most carried out in this sector is ecological tourism, in
this way visitors get to know natural areas and at the same time have fun.

Leisure recreation

It is a type of recreation that involves the use of games as a form of entertainment


and teaching within its activities.

It is mostly used to promote child development. It is common for this type of


activities to be carried out in school institutions, although it can be implemented
anywhere where the necessary conditions exist to carry them out.

Conclusion
Physical education, sport and recreation must be taken as a regular practice in the
lives of all people, without distinction of age, sex, social status or occupation.
Since it promotes and facilitates individuals to achieve and understand their own
body. In children, young people and/or adolescents, practicing sports allows us to
learn about various possibilities and master a varied number of physical and sports
activities so that in the future they can choose what is most convenient for their
development and personal recreation, improving the quality of life in turn. through
