Academic project details

Title : Case study on Depletion of Budigere Minor Irrigation Tank.
Description: The purpose of this review is to explore the reasons advanced why the area
irrigated by tanks has declined substantially from the past three years. This study found
that the depletion has occurred mainly due to disposing of some pollution sources, less
rainfall, soil erosion, encroachment, blockages and measures have been taken by deepening
of tank bed, stopping of seepage losses, improvement of waste weir, removing unwanted
silt. Recently government is undertaking some measures to solve the problems that are
faced by the villagers.
Role: In this project, my role was collecting the rainfall data from all the centers, along
with collecting information from villagers while visiting Budigere Tank.
