30-2100 Dual Temp Tire Warmer Instructions

(Made in USA)

Operation
1) Wrap the warmer around the tire by first securing the Velcro strap around the rim, preferably right
in front of a rim spoke.
2) As you wrap the warmer around the tire, be sure to make the warmer fit snugly to the tire. Failure
to do so can result in the heating element bunching up, which will cause heating voids, damage the
warmer and void your warranty.
3) Connect the safety cord and plug the warmer in. Disconnecting this cord will
automatically shut the warmer off when it is removed from the tire. Warmer
Safety
4) Select your desired heat setting using the Warm/Hot Switch. The Warm setting Cord
makes that the target temperature for the tire about 135F, the Hot setting makes the
target about 175F.
5) The red indicator light will come on to show elements are heating, the green
indicator shows the warmer has reached temperature. Once it has reached
temperature the light will alternate red and green.

General Information
The tire warmer is an electrical unit and must be handled with care. In order to be sure that your
warmer lasts a long time you must follow the precautions set forth below. Failure to do so can damage
the warmer and void your warranty. If you suspect that there is a problem with your warmers, discontinue
use and contact Woodcraft.

1) Never allow your tire warmers to get wet.

2) Always use the warmers with the wheels suspended in the air using both front and rear stands.
Allowing the warmers to touch the ground with the weight of the motorcycle on them can damage
the heating elements and potentially cause a fire.
3) Be sure to fit the warmer snugly to the tire to avoid having the heating element bunch up and
cause abnormal hot spots, damaging the inner lining and heating element.

Intended Use
These tire warmers are intended for racetrack use only.

Do not attempt to use tire warmers on the street. Street tires are not designed to be heated to race
temperatures, and attempting to do so can damage your tire. Conversely, race tires and street riding do
not mix, and riding you bike at racetrack lean angles on the street is highly dangerous.

All race tire manufacturers recommend heat soaking the tire, rather than just heating the surface of
the tire. This is a process that takes 40-60 minutes, depending upon the ambient temperature. You should
always give the warmer the opportunity to cycle (reach the set temperature, cool & reheat) at least 2-3
times to be sure you can hit the track with the proper tire temperature.

PLEASE CONSULT YOUR TIRE MANUFACTURER’S
REPRESENTATIVE FOR TEMPERATURE RECOMMENDATIONS
For rain conditions we always run the tires on a Warm setting on any brand of tire, and do not
leave them on for more than 15 minutes. Some manufacturers do not even recommend using warmers at
all on rain tires - consult your tire dealer for instructions.

IMPORTANT NOTES
It is important to note that even the best tire warmers typically cannot achieve optimal
temperatures in abnormally cold conditions (below 50 deg F). Wrapping the tires in flame retardant
blankets has proven to improve this condition by as much as 20 degrees.

A common problem at the racetrack is having too many people draw power from the same circuit,
making warmers less effective due to the lack of electrical power. Watch for these problems at the track.
These warmers draw about 1000 Watts of power if you are sizing a generator. When in doubt – more
power is always better.

For multiple races in one day, putting your tires back on the warmers on the Warm setting will
reduce the effects of heat cycling the tire. Heat cycles (and tread wear) are the primary causes of loss of
traction as a tire gets older. By not allowing the tire to cool completely after use, the tire will have more
grip for a longer period of time.

Warranty – Intended Use

of his racing activities and agrees to release and indemnify Woodcraft from any liabilities arising from
any loss, damage, injury or death that the rider may incur in connection with his racing activities or use of

ANY SIGN OF BLISTERING, CRACKING OR PEELING OF TREAD. SEEK EXPERT ADVICE IF ANY DOUBT EXISTS REGARDING TIRE
CONDITION OR USE OF WARMERS. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE RIDER TO PHYSICALLY CHECK TIRE TEMPERATURE
BEFORE RIDING IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT THE TIRE IS UP TO TEMPERATURE. TIRE FAILUE DUE TO IMPROPER USE OF TIRE
