HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL YOUR MINECRAFT WORLD

Locate the File for the world you want… World Files will ALWAYS be grey and white and look
like this:

DO NOT open the folder and download the separate elements within, just download the
whole folder by right clicking and selecting “Download”

You MAY find that the download gets zipped by Google. If this happens, you will need to
unzip this using your programme of choice. Right click on the zip file and select “Unzip”.

Once you have the unzipped file, place the WHOLE FILE into your Minecraft Saves folder by
dragging and dropping the folder into it.

If you don’t know where this folder is, you can find it in two ways…

OPTION 1 to find your saves folder: THROUGH THE MINECRAFT GAME

Open up Minecraft and hit play. Once launched, click “Options”

then “Resource Packs…” then “Open Pack Folder”

This will take you to your ResourcePacks folder on your system

Go UP one level on the navigation bar at the top to “.minecraft” where you will find a
number of folders, including the saves folder

Then drag and drop your Downloaded Minecraft World into the saves folder

Open your game and the world will be waiting in your

single player list of Minecraft Worlds. Enjoy!
OPTION 2 to find the saves folder: THROUGH YOUR DESKTOP

Minecraft hides its game folders to avoid any accidental deletions. You can find the
folders by following these instructions:

ON WINDOWS:

3. Click roaming
4. Click .minecraft
5. Your saves folder will be there
6. Drag and drop your downloaded world into the saves folder
7. Open your game and the world will be there for you. Just click on it and enjoy!

ON MAC
1. In Finder, select “Go” (normally at the top of your screen)
2. While in that menu, press and hold the option key
3. A secret folder called “Library” will appear – click on it while holding the
option key
4. Select “Application Support”
5. Scroll down and select “Minecraft”
6. You will find your saves folder there
7. Drag and drop your downloaded world into the saves folder
8. Open your game and the world will be there for you. Just click on it and enjoy!
