There is an option for a standard collar


a small collar or a hood.
This design has a unique sleeve shaping
which I have never seen used before.
I therefore claim it as my own
unvention.
Tension: - 14sts & 18rows = 10cm on 7mm
needles.
To fit sizes- 32[34, 36, 38, 40]inch
Requirements:Rowan Cocoon 6[6, 6, 7, 7]
50grm balls. Hooded version 7[7, 7, 8,8] 50grm
balls of Rowan Cocoon.
7mm circular needles, 6.5mm straight or
circular needles
Finished length: The length is adjustable. The
sample measured from back neck is 30”

Abbreviations:
kfb: knit into the front and back of next stitch.
WS: wrong side.
RS: right side.
K: knit.
W&T: Wrap & Turn, knit to point specified in pattern, bring yarn to front of work between needles, slip next stitch to
right hand needle, bring yarn around this stitch to back of work, slip stitch back to left hand needle, turn work to begin
knitting back in the other direction.
PM: Place marker.
Special abbreviations:
M1pwr: with left needle pick up bar between stitches from the back, purl into front
M1pwl: with left needle pick up bar between stitches from front, purl into back.
M1kwr: with left needle pick up bar between stitches from the front knit into back.
M1kwl: with left needle pick up bar between stitches from the back knit into front.
C3F: slip next 3sts, to cable needle hold at front of work, k3, k3 from cable needle.
C3B: slip next 3sts to cable needle hold at back of work, k3, k3 from cable needle.
C3F2tog: slip the purl stitch onto right needle, slip next 3sts onto cable needle, hold at front of work, knit slipped stitch together with
next stitch on left needle, k2, k3 from cable needle.
C3B2tog: slip 3sts to cable needle hold at back, k3, k2, from cable needle, transfer last stitch to left needle and ssk with next stitch.
C3FSSK: pass 3sts to cable needle hold at front of work, k3, k2 from cable needle, slip last stitch onto left needle and ssk, with next
stitch.
SL1C3Btog: slip 4sts onto cable needle hold at back of work, k3, k2tog from cable needle, k2.
Sl1C3F2tog: slip the purl stitch onto right hand needle, slip next three stitches onto cable needle hold at front of work pass the slipped
purl stitch onto left hand needle and knit together with next stitch, k1, k2tog, knit three stitches from cable needle.
C3B2tog2tog: slip next four stitches onto cable needle, hold at back of work, knit three stitches, knit first two stitches on cable needle
together, k1, slip last stitch onto left needle and ssk with next stitch.
Note: work all bind/cast off in pattern.

Pattern note: It is important to keep the front edges neat as they form the finished edges of the garment.
To join yarn: I use a wet felted splice (spit splice) to give a virtually undetectable join.
Note: Back and fronts worked as one up to armholes

Shaped Hood Option:


After joining shoulders. Work across the front neck
stitches continue across back neck, picking up and
knitting in moss stitch pattern 40[40,40,42,42,42]sts,
work across right front neck stitches.
Continue in moss stitch throughout.
When work measures 9.5[9.75, 10, 10.5, 11]inch
Divide stitches by three and place markers (if you have 1
odd stitch include it in the center third, if you have 2 odd
stitches include 1 in the first third and 1 in the last third)
Work across to one stitch before second marker, remove
marker, knit next two stitches together, replace maker,
turn.
Work back across the center third to one stitch before
marker, remove marker, knit the next two stitches
together, replace marker, turn.
Work across the center third to marker, remove marker,
knit next two stitches together, replace marker, turn.
Continue in this way knitting the last stitch of the center
third together with the first stitch of the side third until
all the side stitches have been worked. Cast off.
Weave in all ends.
Sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes.
Block and enjoy.
