    LAXOF 68

    Silicone softener meant for polyester and its rich blend, of knits,
    shirting and Bed Linens.

    CHARACTERISTICS BENEFITS

    Excellent durable softness, antistatic and


    Nonionic silicone softener hydrophilic characteristics alongwith
    durable soil release properties.
    Imparts outstanding softness combined
    Extremely good soft release and antistatic with excellent antistatic properties and
    property hydrophilic properties to Polyester and its
    rich blends.
    Gives wicking property for Polyester and
    Offering wicking property
    its rich blends suitable for even white
    fabrics.

    Uniform Particle Size emulsion of Epoxy Uniform finish throughout long meter run.
    Silicone glycol and quarternised silicones.

    PROPERTIES

    Ionic Nature: Non-ionic

    Physical Appearance: Clear to viscous liquid

    Specific Gravity at 25ºC - 30ºC: 0.99 – 1.05

    pH (5% solution): 4.0 – 6.5

    Compatibility: Compatible with most cationic and resins used


    in textile finishings.

    Solubility in water at 25ºC: Readily soluble

    Storage stability: LAXOF 68 is stable for 6 months when properly stored


    in closed containers at 25ºC.

    Handling: The usual hygiene and safety rules for handling


    chemicals should be observed in handling, storage and
    use of the LAXOF 68. The product must not be
    swallowed.

    APPLICATION

    Product can be applied by padding methods only.

    Padding application

    10 – 40 g/l LAXOF 68

    Is recommended in the padding bath depending on the type of fabric and softness required
    followed by drying at 145ºC.

    NOTES

    If exposed to atmospheric air for a prolonged duration product becomes hazy and hence it
    should be kept all the times in closed containers away from direct sunlight.

    The product is not suitable for low liquor Jet machine.

    • Bath Stability up to pH 8
    • Stable with hardwater.
    • Bath with optical brightener stable 5 gpl.
    • Compatible with Cationic dye fixing agent, Pigment, Tinting agent

    It is recommended to use bath within 8 hours of bath preparation.
