Content Standard
The learners demonstrate an understanding of:
 Human cultural variation, social differences, social change, and political identities;
 The significance of studying culture, society, and politics; and
 The rationale for studying anthropology, political science, and sociology

STAGE 3: LEARNING ACTIVITIES

Day 1: Sacred Music of Luzon: Vocal Form and Instrumental Form


 Pre-Assessment
 Lesson 1: Get on Board, Hit the Road, and Part 1: Vocal and Music of Lowland Luzon
 Class Discussions- the students will be given an opportunity to teach each other to discuss and discover
new concepts.
 Activity 1: Sing with the Folks
 Reflective Practice: The students will perform the song on their own
 One-Quiz
 Question- Ask the students a specific question to be answered within a minute.
Day 2: Secular Music of Luzon: Vocal Form
 Pre-test
 Transparency- Give clear goals by telling your students what they learn.
 Activities 6 & 7: “Kilig” Moments and “Hugot” Lines
 Graphic Organizer- The Mind Map-let the students organize ideas in their minds.

Day 3: Instrumental Music of Luzon
 Pre-test
 Experiential Learning – The students learn by doing by means of creating their own snare drum as a
musical instrument.
 Activity. Instrument Analysis Addressing Mistakes- The students make mistakes to identify the sounds of
instruments they listen to. This activity let the students realize their mistakes and fix them.
 Hand signals- Students raise hands to show their understanding of the lesson.
Day 4: Performance task
Direction: Below is the musical piece entitled “Magtanim ay di Biro”. Record yourself while performing the
song using your improvised musical instruments available in your homes. Use the suggested rhythmic
pattern as your guide. Your video is minimum of 3 minutes and maximum of 5. Rate their performance
based on the rubrics.
