Subject: Employees Entrance & Employees Bag Inspection Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this policy as a component of the Hotel's security program, bags/belongings in the
possession of employees may be randomly or systematically screened for hotel assets upon entry or exit
by employees through the Employee access/egress check point.

WHO TASK
Employees Entrance & Employees Bag Inspection Policy

 HR department would inform during orientation to all hoteI personnel regarding hotel's
policy of inspecting bags or packages entering or leaving the hotel or Employees
entrance policy.
 All employees must enter and leave the hotel building via designated Employees
Entrance.
 Inspection check point should be monitored by CCTV camera
 When inspecting packages, boxes, suitcases, or other material, the
inspection should be done in a consistent manner without discriminating
against any person, sex or race.
 All employees will be required to submit their bag or parcel for inspection
upon request when entering or leaving the hotel.
 The employee should voluntarily open their bag. Security personnel
would not touch or put hands in the bag or parcel.
 Employees would be requested to move or remove contents in the bag
as necessary.
Lift Lobby
 Should the employee refuse to comply with a bag/parcel inspection,
Guard.
additional support would be requested from the employee's supervisor or
the Manager on duty.
 An Incident Report will be completed in such situations
 Available evidence and obtained statements to be attached with the
report
 The Report will be brought to the attention of HR Head & their respective
HOD.
 Maintain a record of any material being taken out by authority of a department head.
Keep a copy of the authorization.
 Notify management if a department head is authorizing the removal of expensive or

 Follow Company policy if unauthorized hotel property, or property not authorized to be
brought into the hotel, is discovered
 A security check procedure including the body frisking and package/ Baggage
check of the employees to be carried out at the employee entrance by the security
department.
 For any non-personal items that an employee carries out of the hotel, a gate pass/bill
has to be issued and signed by the department's heads. This policy applies to all staff
including heads of the departments.
 If any employee, accompanying a guest, may use the main lobby for business
purpose only.
 All the employees should complete IN/ OUT through the Biometrics at the Time
 Office upon entering and exiting the hotel. Employees should not enter hotel premises
when off duty without prior approval of HR Department
 Any employee who was dismissed / voluntarily resigned from the hotel will not be
permitted to the office /back of house areas of the hotel except approved by the HR
department. A list of left employees must be shared with Security Time Office by HR
department.
 Employees who have been dismissed from the hotel may not frequent the hotel
facilities (Back of the house) for 6 months and who have resigned may not frequent
the hotel (Back of the house) for 3 months.
 Employees must enter and exit the hotel premises within 15 minutes of their shift
timing.
 Employee's must not carry food items in their workstation and always use designated
staff cafeteria for food consumption.
